44 and starting again
Hello,
I would love to chat with others who are also starting life again after 40. I was on a long relationship… 23 years… it’s hard to trust again.

There are many who are facing this starting over ..... i am facing starting anew after 38 yrs.....
i never thought about...... "trust" ...... until i read your post ......
i want companionship and maybe love again ...but i really feel i lost trust such a long time ago and have just lived without it..........i really can not pin point the last trust i had in others.
i trust no one ...... i count on being disappointed ..... and i give very little slack to those who i deal with as most have proven themselves untrustworthy........
Maybe why i feel like so much is missing in my life and feel empty
I hear you. But I also know that with me, that feeling of emptiness is almost constant… when I’m alone or with someone.
So maybe focusing on me for a while will help?

I have done that the last year lost weight made friends have a hobby but it is still there ........
i am beginning to think i will always be alone even in a crowd....... i find too many people have become puppets there is no real connection anymore .... IMO
What do you think it would take from a potential partner to start to trust them?
