Feeling frustrated with restaurant service
Over the past weekend, I went to meet some friends at a restaurant to celebrate a birthday. While we looked forward to the event, the service was very poor and from start to finish.
One such instance was that they seemed to make us wait to be seated longer than usual. Additionally, the staff and the manager kept stringing us along about seating us. On several times we were told, "Give us one second," but nothing happened. They also came to us and said, it would be another 5 minutes.
Being me, I was hungry and I was mad because I feel like our needs did not get met like they should have been. However, I have never liked when restaurant staff takes forever.
That definitely sounds frustrating!

- Yes, we had so much fun that we didn't even realize that the food and drinks were taking a long time
- Maybe, but this is one of those overrated chain restaurants and I didn't like them that much in the past.
The biggest issues that I had
1. The hostesses and the manager on sight keep stringing us along. At one point, when the manager was out, they seem to make it sound like they were seating us, but the manager said, "Not yet, give us a second." Being me, I was hangry and slammed a menu shut that I was holding in letting them know that I was frustrated.
2. At no point during that waiting period did they apologize for making us wait
3. The waitresses were a little bossy and had the bit of an attitude
4. The waitresses also took a long time for everything, including making us wait for our payments to be processed. When they came back, they expected a tip out of us.
At no time did anyone on staff that ever seemed to apologize, instead their attitude was, "We are doing the best that we can here. Back off."

Yes, that can happen at times. It can definitely spoil the good moments. It can also be because of the work pressure but it's still important to at least listen to the customers. Sometimes even when the food isn't good we don't realise it because of the caring and considerate staff. Probably, you can look for some other place next time.
