Thank you for sharing some of your experiences here. While I can certainly relate to what you are describing, 7Cups is not really supposed to be about making friends, in fact off site relationships are explicitly discouraged to keep everyone safe and maintain the confidential environment afforded by the site.
However, talking about difficulties making friends and brainstorming ways to make friends is totally cool, I am just worried this thread will be flagged up and removed with the important issue (social isolation) remaining unaddressed, and you perhaps feeling that there isn’t a place for you here. I am posting on a member account, but have been a listener since 2014 and used to be very active on that side.

@Milo19 7cups is not a dating site, which your correct and yes there is a rule against offsite.
But to say you cannot have friends here is way off base.

As I am sure you are aware members cannot actually private message other members so the site isn’t really intended for developing friendships, although it does appear to have suffered mission slip in recent years.
Friendships between listeners and long term members can and do happen organically sometimes, but there is something of a power imbalance if the listener is using active listening techniques.
