7 Cups doesn't exactly fill my cup
So if you see me posting here multiple times in the same day, tell me to get off and try to live my life. I have a bad habit of escaping into websites like these for interactions that feel good and meaningful in the moment, but always leave me feeling empty-handed and bled dry in the end. I spent hours on here yesterday chasing that feeling of easy purpose so I didn't get my work done or do my PT. And for all my efforts, I didn't gain real lasting human warmth by my side- I just gained eye strain. This is a good distraction, but human beings aren't built for stuff like this. I'm not leaving, I just need to seriously limit my time here because I'm a desperately lonely and depressed individual who has a hero complex and needs validation and it's not healthy and I need to try to have the courage to be present and live the life in front of me before I come running back to the screen. So, if you see me here posting multiple times in a day, kick me off.

I think you nailed it 😊 And I would be much closer to not kicking you (as you suggest we should do), but friendly patting you on the back instead.
I believe you are right: here you can get only a cup, but you have to find some grains, water (some milk and sugar optionally) and make a coffee by yourself. We can only assist you on your journey 😊
I wish you finding this "real lasting human warmth by your side".
I knew at least two therapists who said they were OK when I was cancelling appointments with them. One of them said: "I was happy imaging things you could do while you were not here", because then he knew his efforts paid off - and "Would you like to tell me about it?" 😉
Live. Be happy. That's all this is all about.
@determinedSea4370 Hey....one step at a time, I think recognizing the problem is the first step to seeking help.
Your title caught my eye, it's good you recognize that. I'm here and can talk all day.
