first I want to clarify that I don't hate anyone.

Hi

I just read a thread in which a Bisexual guy was talking about feelings for a person transitioning from a female to male. I don't have any problem with that guy but one thing which makes me most uncomfortable is people changing their genders using modern healthcare services and surgeries. Isn't its against nature? I mean evolution separated us into male and female for our survival. what do you think?

@ApurvaSingh123 I'm cool with transgenders. It's their choice and personally, I don't want to judge them as they make that choice.😊

It is such a vast over simplification that there are only two genders, but that is what most of us are taught. There are so many different things that can contribute to one’s gender identity. It is not my lived experience, so I’m not an expert by any means. However, I do know that there are many medical conditions, genetics, hormones, etc. that do contribute to gender identity. So if someone wants to use modern medicine to help themselves feel better for any reason, that sounds logical and reasonable. That is definitely their own personal journey and decision.

I support you and people here will only judge you and criticize you for this idea that you just put forward. There is no use to make people understand because they won't.

The thing is what's right for us may not be right for others or vice-versa.

But don't worry. I'm in support and totally agree with you.

The thing which i don't feel right is how people are getting influenced by all these agendas of sex change and all. According to me it's a forced thing and not natural for some people. They just get influenced to change their sex or become transgender...

Haters are welcome!!! please rant us!!!

P.S. - i totally respect LGBTQ+ community. What i don't support is just the forced influence.

Gosh, how many things do we as humans do that are against nature? A lot, I think.

We eat food that is so processed and has so many preservatives that it lasts on our shelves for years. That's not natural.

It used to be if our hair fell out, we were bald. Now we can get hair implants or use products that makes our hair grow.

Nature makes our hair go gray or white and we go to the store and buy hair dye to cover that up.

If we don't like how our faces are looking wrinkly, we use skincare products or get botox injections.

We go to the dentist to get cavities filled before our teeth fall out.

We have immunizations for diseases that used to kill people, so that we don't die from them anymore.

Going even further, most people who got cancer long ago used to die from it and maybe never even knew they had it. Now we use chemotherapy, radiation, and other medications and surgery to survive it. Unfortunately, not everyone does, but a lot more people do these days than in the past.

Same with serious injuries like from a car accident or a bullet. They go to the hospital and have surgery rather than bleeding out on the road.

All of these things are against nature, but they are made possible by the hard work of people who work in science, engineering, and medicine and have figured out these things so we can now choose to live longer, healthier, and more pleasant lives. I say it's good that we've overcome nature in a lot of ways and we have every right to do it. Nature doesn't have to rule us.

I chose to have a complete hysterectomy even though my life was not currently at stake. That was going against nature and it was the best thing I ever did. I chose to use medicine to make my life a hundred times more pleasant. I suffered the most terrible, wretched pain every month that completely immobilized me... made me sweat, faint, vomit, curl up in the fetal position with horrible pain shooting into my back and legs, made me want to just be unconscious for two or three days! I never wanted to have my own children (I wanted to foster and adopt kids that already had to be in this world), and I had two conditions that made the doctors highly recommend I never get pregnant. And I still had to wait until I was in my 30s before insurance would cover it because "I was too young to make that decision."

My nephew is transgender. I am so proud of him for living his truth. I think he was so brave to tell us when he was 15. We put him in therapy right away, not to change his mind, but for him to have someone to talk to about it and explore it with. He's 20 now and has been doing HRT (hormone replacement therapy) for two years, and is still in therapy also. No surgeries or anything yet, but he's going by a different name. Honestly, I think we've established that humans go against nature constantly and I think it's a positive thing not a negative one. To specifically argue about transgender people with you will just make me angry, so I won't.

Just try to imagine if you were a man stuck in a woman's body. People would assume things about you constantly, because whether we like it or not, the vast majority of us assign certain traits to men and certain traits to women. And people don't look at a person and see a person; they see a man or a woman. Except for the very few people who are truly evolved, that's what people do. My nephew feels like a man and wants to be seen as a man. Generally speaking, any person wants to be seen for what and who they are, right? Whether that's for their gender-identity or their insides, their heart. We want to be seen for us, for our true selves. So if there's a man inside a woman's body, I say they should let him out in any way that they can. If they can't afford surgery, maybe they can afford HRT. Even if they can't, they can dress and act in a way that feels comfortable for them. And there's no reason that should make us feel uncomfortable if we think about why they're doing it. They're just living their truth. They're living how they feel inside. They're living how they'd be living if they were born with the body of a male. They're trying to make the best of the situation they find themselves in. Later on, that might mean surgery. And that will be doing the exact same thing. Living their truth. Living how they feel inside. Matching their outsides with their insides. Making the best of their situation. And I say bravo to them!

(Also, of course, to any woman inside a man's body. All of this applies to you too. And anyone inside of any body they don't feel matches their insides.)
