it's a fair question to ask. i didn't understand that gender change thing until later in life i discovered I'm ambivalent about my gender, too. it just doesn't bother me enough to screw up my existing life. but i understand why some people want to be themselves. and i admire their determination and sacrifice. turns out we're way too complex to be put into binary designation. BTW, it didn't stop me from procreation, so the nature and evolution did it's course.

@ApurvaSingh123 The population of earth won’t slow down because a small number of people get surgery. Why are you worried that this one thing is “against nature”? How about medicine extending life, isn’t that against nature. How about all the things humans do to threaten the lives of each other and every other living thing on the planet? I suggest that if you’re worried about human survival, focusing on what trans people do is like worrying about sand from a beach getting in the ocean. And evolution is a description of an observed process - not a moral code. Some non human animals are homosexual, so are they breaking with evolutionary purpose? My point is, you have some discomfort with this idea that people are seeking surgery and somehow breaking the rules of the universe. Are you appointed to enforce the rules of the universe? The only clear fact here is that you feel discomfort, period, full stop.

I have no issues with transgender people. It is their life. We should not ever judge them for it.

I encourage you to read up on Gender dysphoria. Imagine not being able to look in the mirror. Being trapped in your own body. Reproduction isn't necessarily the main goal in life. I mean even straight people are childless for a variety of reasons - would you say their lives have no meaning? There's so much contribution people can give to society. And there are millions of orphans waiting for a good home. Such was the role of lgbtq people and animals even from time immemorial. Contribute to the survival of the tribe by helping taking care of their nephews and nieces, the elderly and the women while the hunters went off to hunt.

@ApurvaSingh123 Some people are just born with brains that don't align with their bodies. The most logical thing to do is to change their bodies to align with their brains. We are fortunate to live in a time when this is medically possible.

If I gave my honest view on the trans topic, I'd probably get banned or reported...

But oh well, I'll give a little bit of my perspective. I'm a bisexual woman who detransitioned (FtM back to F) and had severe gender dysphoria that I was feeling very su!c!dal. I don't hate trans nor do I have a problem with them. However, I am always silenced when I mentioned that I detransitioned and people call me names and say I'm a "fake" and try to censor me. I've been censored multiple times, I got banned for merely putting on my dating profile that I'm not interested in dating trans people. (Personally, I am not offended either if people say they do not want to date a bisexual person, it is their preference. Don't care either if they don't want to date me because I'm skinny, atheist, or have a kid. Everything is a preference, and that's OK. I won't be mad).

Furthermore, I just do not agree with transitioning for multiple reasons, especially on young children who cannot consent or are too young to understand. There is a known trans woman who's mother forced them to transition at a young age with puberty blockers, had SA their OWN KID by forcing them to stick stuff up their...when they get their surgery, and now they feel like crap for being forced to transition and don't feel like themselves. There are also many articles with regret for transitioning and high rates of su!c!de after transitioning. Doctors & therapist jumped to quickly to the conclusion that they MUST transition, only after 2-3 short sessions...There's a known trans woman YTber that continues to get hormones/surgery, but feels depressed, because they haven't achieved their goal, and it's nots exactly easy to achieve, so they keep getting more, and more surgery and it makes them more depressed...

After I left my dysfunctional family at the abusive household, I learnt to accept myself for how I am and I was OK with being a masculine woman, instead of transitioning into a man. It took some time to heal, but I made it... Transitioning is like gay conversion therapy. I thought I was a lesbian since grade school, and wanted to transition to be normal, and I was being encouraged to be a "boy" because of my traditionally masculine interests, my mannerisms, and the way I used to dress. But what's wrong with being an old school tomboy? Why should I change myself to appeal to society and their sexist notions of what a man or woman should look like? I don't need to change my body to appease ANYONE.

I could delve into it even deeper, but as I mentioned, I'll probably get reported or banned for just sharing this tidbit so...

I'll leave it at that and see what happens...

I think that it shouldn't matter what people choose. It's their life and surely everyone deserves to work towards their own happiness. I have a sister who is transgender and she is the kindest person I know, surely she deserves to feel herself and feel accepted in society. And I honestly don't see the argument in 'going against nature', if they can't naturally have their own children after surgery, then it's not a big deal - it's a fact (that people might not want to hear) that the human race is overpopulated and is causing significant issues for our planet and the other creatures that live here. People get cosmetic surgeries all the time and that isn't a life or death situation for them, they don't need it. But for some transgender people it is, they need it. I think we should each focus on our own happiness and on working together to fix real issues, like helping our planet, not focusing on other people's journey to finding themselves.

I think it's none of my business, honestly. As long as they are not maliciously hurting another person, then who cares? I get my hair highlighted to hide the grays. That's against nature too. I feel better looking younger than being a 34-year-old woman with salt and pepper hair.

I think you mean transgender. What if there’s a biological error? What if they have the body of a female but mind of a male or vice versa? So we shouldn’t separate the body of conjoined twins either, because natural yk. We shouldn’t cook food either — processing — unnatural. Humans have developed technology to solve the problems we face— mental and physical.

Being trans isn't against the nature, infact it can be found in the nature as well. Are There Transgender Proclivities in Animals? | JSTOR Daily heres an article you can read to educate yourself more.

Secondly, that is a naturalistic fallicy that anything against the nature is wrong, because our entire existence is dependent upon overcoming the nature. Going with that, any person who gets cancer, or anyother illness shouldn't be helped because "its against the nature". Nature doesn;t dictate whats right or wrong, it simply is.

Thirdly you are confusing your terms. Sex is different from Gender. Sex is something you are born with, Gender is a social contruct that changes, evolves and is dependent upon culture to culture. Also Intersex people exists, miniscule in the grand scheme of things, but still exist in nature. Heres an article that may explain more Sex and gender - Gender Matters (coe.int)

Please educate yourself more, it might open yourself to a lot of other things.
