Am I the Only One Who...?

User Profile: Eman144

Hey everyone 💚

I’ve been thinking lately about how often we feel alone in our thoughts — like no one else could possibly feel the way we do. I wanted to create a space where we can break that silence.

This is a thread where we can all finish the sentence:
👉 “Am I the only one who…”

Whether it’s something deep, awkward, random, emotional, or just super specific — share it here. Chances are, someone else will relate.

A few examples:

  • Am I the only one who feels drained after being around people, even the ones I love?

  • Am I the only one who finds it hard to celebrate my own achievements?

  • Am I the only one who overthinks literally everything?

You’re not weird. You’re not broken. You're human. 🫶

Feel free to reply to others too — a simple “me too” can make someone feel seen. 💬

Let’s be real, be kind, and remind each other that we’re not alone in how we feel. I’ll go first in the comments ⬇️

With care,
[Eman144] 🌿

Am I the only one who have too many contradicting thoughts in their head, all fighting at the same time that you start shouting at your brain to stop?

Am I the only one who wishes to even get in a coma for a while because that’s the only way that might stop the thoughts? Because not even sleep helps

Am I the only one who doesn’t understand what I want? What I am looking for or what should I even ask for?

Am I the only one fighting an unknown battle hoping for an unknown result?

@Mia6600

You're definitely not the only one.

What you're feeling—this overwhelming storm of thoughts, contradictions, confusion, and mental exhaustion—is something many people experience, even if they don’t always talk about it. You are not alone in shouting at your brain, wishing for silence, craving some form of peace—even if it's extreme, like a coma—just to escape it all.

Not knowing what you want or what you’re even fighting for is deeply human. Life often doesn’t come with clear answers or direction, and that can leave you feeling lost in your own mind. It's okay to feel like you're stuck in a battle with no name and no end in sight.

But here’s something important: you're not broken for feeling this way. These thoughts, however dark or chaotic, are signs that you're searching—and that's a brave thing. You’re trying to make sense of yourself and the world. That matters.

If you feel safe to do so, talk to someone—a friend, a therapist, even writing it all out can help you begin to untangle it. You don’t have to do it alone. You don’t deserve to suffer in silence.

Would you like some tools to help quiet the noise or explore what might be behind these thoughts? I'm here for you.

Love the concept Eman.

The thought I have is

Am I the only one who feels that hurting someone intentionally or unintentionally is quite bad and we all need to strive to redeem ourselves to do better.

@AK245

Thank you for replying with openness. What you’re going through is heavy—and I truly hear the weight in your words. Just the fact that you’re reaching out, sharing these internal battles, speaks volumes about your strength. Not because you're supposed to have it all figured out, but because you're choosing to not give up, even when everything in your mind feels like a warzone.

These thoughts—the contradictions, the confusion, the exhaustion—they’re painful, but they’re not a sign of weakness. They’re often a response to being overwhelmed, burned out, emotionally hurt, or simply human in a complicated world.

You’re not wrong for wanting peace so desperately. You’re not alone in wishing for stillness so badly that you’d even consider something like a coma. That may sound extreme, but it’s really just a reflection of how desperate the need for relief has become.

And no, you’re not the only one who doesn’t know what they want, or what they’re even hoping for. Many people are just surviving moment to moment, unsure of what they're reaching for but still reaching. And that in itself… is courage.

If you want, I can help you sort through some of these thoughts. We can break things down—bit by bit—without judgment. Or I can offer ways to help calm your mind, even just a little. No pressure, no expectations. Just support, right where you are.

Would you like to take that next small step together?

Am I the only one who is responsible for every thing bad that happens here. Since my father left the word, my sisters daily beat me for every thing bad whatever in house, out of the reigon . My mother is speechless on their behavior, I spent cold nights of winter in courtyard, facing their anger day by day is now become out of my abilities, I know no one can help me out

Sometimes I feel too alone there , I am prohibited to leave house at any cost, Except to my neighborhood. They can go anywhere they want and just do weird stuff with me,

I'm really sorry you're going through all this. It sounds incredibly painful and lonely, and no one should have to face such treatment, especially from family. Remember, you are not responsible for the bad things happening around you. What you’re experiencing is not your fault, and you deserve kindness and safety.

Is there anyone you can trust outside your family—a friend, a teacher, a counselor, or a community member? Sometimes reaching out to someone, even just to talk, can help a little. You don’t have to carry this burden alone.

If you want, I’m here to listen and support you. You deserve to be heard and cared for.

@Ruuhenoor12

First, I want you to know that you are not alone — even though it might deeply feel that way right now. What you're describing is not your fault. No one deserves to be hurt, blamed, or made to suffer for things they didn’t cause. You are not guilty for what others do, and you are not responsible for their pain, anger, or unhappiness.

It takes strength to speak about what you’re going through — and I can hear that strength in your words. You’re enduring something incredibly painful, but you’re still hoping, and that hope matters. That hope is a part of you — it’s proof that somewhere deep down, you know you deserve something better. And you do.

This situation — being hurt by family, trapped, neglected, and silenced — is abuse. And abuse is never okay. You need and deserve safety, kindness, and care — from others, and especially from yourself.

If it’s at all possible, reaching out to a local support organization, shelter, or trusted adult — even just sending a message or calling once — could open a door to a new chapter of your life. If you're in a country where there are helplines or women's shelters, I can help look up the right one if you tell me where you live.

You are not invisible. You are not worthless. You are not to blame.

I feel my overthinking is getting in my way of being in the now looking for someone to connect to as a friend to call on when I need to get out of my head

@amyvgirl

It’s completely okay to feel that way — overthinking can be exhausting, especially when you’re carrying so much on your own. Wanting someone to talk to, to just be there when your mind starts spiraling, doesn’t make you weak — it makes you human. We all need connection, especially when life feels heavy.

You’re not wrong for needing a friend. You deserve someone who listens without judgment, who helps bring you back to the present, and reminds you that you're not alone in your thoughts.

If you want, we can talk more — about anything. No pressure, no judgment. Just a safe space.

And when you're ready, we can also explore ways to quiet your mind — little steps that might help you feel more grounded, even before that friend comes along. But for now, just know this: you’re not broken, and you don’t have to carry everything by yourself anymore.

I'm here.

@amyvgirl

To you:
I'm so sorry you're carrying the weight of chronic pain and loneliness. That kind of invisible struggle can feel endless, and isolating.
Please know this: your pain doesn't define your worth. You deserve support, care, and love not despite what you're going through, but because of it.

You’re not alone, even if it feels that way sometimes. There are people who care deeply, and moments of connection still waiting for you. If you ever feel like opening up or just need to talk, I'm here. No judgment, just presence. ❤️

We all carry our own battles, even if they look different. And just knowing that someone else sees that, understands it, and reaches out with kindness — it makes the weight a little lighter.

Thank you for those words. Sometimes, just a little warmth like that can be the light someone needs in their darkest moment.

If you ever need to talk, vent, or simply sit in silence with someone who understands — I’m here for that too.

Aww, that’s so touching — thank you, love. 🫂 I'm really sorry you lost your friend Emaan… losing someone close leaves such a quiet, aching space in the heart. It means a lot that my name reminded you of her — that’s truly special.

And yes — we can absolutely be friends. I'm here for you, whenever you need someone to talk to, vent to, laugh with, or just sit in silence with. Your thoughts, your feelings, your memories — they matter here. 💛

Aww, thank you so much 💚 Ma shaa Allah, tabarakAllah — your kindness means a lot!

As for the message option, that might be due to settings on the app or the platform itself — sometimes messaging isn’t available depending on privacy settings or app glitches. Try checking if you're both following each other, or restarting the app.

May Allah ease your pain, fill your heart with peace, and surround you with the love and support you need. You’re in my du’as. 💫

You're not alone in that. Comparing ourselves, even in the name of healing, is something many of us do—it's part of trying to make sense of our experiences. But healing doesn’t require you to measure yourself against anything or anyone. Sometimes, it just asks you to be with what is.

@mummum
Not at all — you're definitely not the only one. Having emotions and being sentimental can be a powerful strength. It means you're capable of empathy, connection, and deep reflection — qualities that help build meaningful relationships and a strong sense of self. In a world that sometimes pushes emotional detachment as a form of strength, being in touch with your feelings is actually a rare and valuable trait.
