Any tips for boosting self-esteem?
Hi! I am starting in person school in a day. It will be my first year of highschool. I was virtual for 4 YEARS. I went today to learn the rules and meet my teachers and I already struggle with confidence and then when I saw all the pretty girls there I felt even more let down. They were all so naturally pretty and I'm pretty sure they all have boyfriends, and then there is me. I don't need a boyfriend, I'm still trying to learn about myself I barely have anything figured out. But knowing that I don't get approached anyway and seeing girls like that kind of broke me. Please, if you have any tips for feeling better about yourself, and ways to not compare yourself to others, I would very much appreciate it. I already exercise and journal. I feel lost.
I'm so nervous to go on the first day. There were also a lot of attractive guys. Just attractive people in general. I didn't feel like I belong there.
I would also appreciate any journal prompts you think I should use. I love to write and I'm trying to get to know myself better.

Starting high school can be a challenging experience, especially after being in a virtual environment for so long. I totally get you since i just transferred in the middle of high school, and it was a devastating experience since everyone already knew each other. But I've came to realize it's completely normal to feel overwhelmed and uncertain about yourself in a new setting. One thing i did every time i felt inadequate is to tell myself, "hey, it's okay Tiff, just because they seem so put together on the outside, doesn't mean they don't have their own insecurities! They are just like you, you got this!"
I am also a big believer of fake it till you make it~ Smile and be open to making new friends, participate in extracurricular activities where you can meet people with similar interests, and just give yourself the grace to navigate through it all and stumble a little.
All the best to you!
Thank you so much! I'm kinda glad I have somebody to relate to but I'm also sorry you have to experience that. It's already scary for me to start fresh I can't imagine that.
I was thinking about trying to do a sport maybe so I can make friends, and also get to stay in shape.
