I've been taking Ashwagandha for my anxiety recently (My pharmacist recommended it) it seems to help, but I'm not sure yet. Does anyone else take it? Has it worked for you?

It's fantastic that you're looking into anxiety management techniques. Although everyone's experience with ashwagandha varies, I have heard several people discuss utilizing it. Since you began taking it, how have you been feeling? Do you believe it is having an impact on you personally?

It can help your rest and it can also can have a bit of an aphrodisiac quality for some people.

Lavender flowers mixed with an herbal decaf tea, can also help to soothe.

@genericbeing

It is an Ayurvedic medicine. My father has been using it past 20 years whenever he has weakness / fever / anxiety issues.

@genericbeing I hope you are feeling well. Ayurvedic or homeopathic medication can have different effects on different people. Psychological issues have been present throughout history, from the belief in being "possessed by unseen forces" to modern conditions like Panic Attacks or Social Anxiety.

In my opinion, when it comes to our health, we should avoid a trial-and-error approach and instead make informed and deliberate health decisions. Prevention is better than cure, but some health issues are rooted in family and social environments and may not be avoidable.

It's important to consult a specialist or physician when you experience even minor and regular symptoms. If you aren't satisfied with one consultant, seeking a second opinion is okay. However, self-medication is never advisable and can be harmful.

@genericbeing I read that already, but it would be better to consult with a Physician first.
