Be Honest 💕
If you had to be honest in this exact moment, no mask, no filter, what word or sentence would describe how you feel?
Tired and anxious, but I know it'll pass by. Things will always somewhat work out and I'll find a way somehow.
SugarBoost, great attitude. It will pass, and you will carry on. The movie, "The Martian" with Matt Damon, it helped me watching that movie how he solved one problem, then the next, until he thought himself to stay alive and be rescued. There is a huge lesson to be gained from thinking about that movie. It was fictional, but very true to life. Could maybe happen for real? But the true stuff was human grit! You can't measure it. But it is a thing! You just keep solving problems until rescue amazingly arrives! You have grit!!!
Drained
Mimi, l feel you! I feel that way from battling chronic pain the last 44 years. Drained is the perfect word for it! We carry on, drained or not, right! Life is not easy!
@Amanda84 jail for me
Andreas, just to clarify, life "feels" like jail for you right now l assume! So you aren't really trapped. You can go outside, socialize if you choose to! At least that is an option? (Unless you really are in the clinker) 🙂
@warmheartedHuman836 This is exactly commenting on something you really don't know. I go outside often, own business, a good family and good employees. All I did now focus to build a good ship for everyone but i feel less motivated on my own, but can I just leave all the responsibility? No, the ship sink. So its not about touching the grass.
@Amanda84
Anxious, nervous AF
Sending in my notice to retire today, I cant believe how much this has affected me.
I just hope the pension department does not tell my boss, as I am not saying anything to her for another 2 weeks.
Retiring is great! You will love it!!!
@warmheartedHuman836
I'm sure I will in some ways, enjoy it but scared to Heck that I will be alone.
I have one friend at work and no real friends outside of work. I don't see that work friend keeping the friendship going. I every so often reach out to my former boss who retired last year but my friend has not reached out to her and they worked together for 40 years.
Braindamaged, you will make different friends. I retired from TJ Maxx 5 years ago. Had a dozen young friends who would somehow invite me to go places with them. But there is a big turnover of college kids there and before long all my friends there were gone. I joined a different church and even moved. That helped. I made a few okay friends and one l text every day, a married guy half my age with 2 kids? We seem like unlikely friends, but we just hit it off, talking mostly about Godly subjects which l have truly enjoyed. You may have to be proactive, but l promise, tou can make new friends. Don't despair!!!! Hugs
@warmheartedHuman836
Thanks for your meaningful message.
Half you age? Huh.. I have been with my girl for 42 years, but there are things that you need that one friend for.
My problem is that I am highly introverted and socially awkward also suffer from social anxiety.
Live in the same neighborhood for 26 years and only talk to my neighbors to please my wife. If it weren't for her, I would not be talking to them
Braindamaged, l am your opposite!, extroverted and will talk to anyone, yet, here l am alone mostly. Divorced because l was too into other stuff besides showing my wife how much she meant to me. My extroverted personality worked against me! I have some good friends, but really only 2 besides family. 2 is fantastic! If you can somehow find one, which l know is a big ask for an introverted person, l know it would help you so much! Praying that God somehow surprises you with a great friend when you least suspect it! Hugs!!
@Amanda84 excluded
Exhausted . By people, by work,by work politics,by emotions..i just need a break
@Stuckatcrossroads Learn to ignore these things so that they don't negatively affect you.
Crossroads, Whit is spot on! Especially politics! Quit watching it! Stay in your lane and focus kn things that you can do something about. I am done with being stressed over politics. It helped me to step away from it, at least for a while! Hugs ð¥°
Take a sabbatical I did it made a difference. Even if it means taking a job similar but less stressful.
