Boundary Blitz
You've heard of the reframe game, now here's the Boundary Blitz!
In order to support ourselves we must learn how to set and maintain our boundaries and to do so
a) assertively, not
b) passively,
c) passive-aggressively or
d) aggressively.
So let's play a game to practice!
I'll start by naming a situation then include one of each response above.
Next person names which response was which, then adds their situation and responses for the next person.
Rules: choose the most non-triggering situations you can so people can play without herniating an aneurism and have fun!
Boundary Blitz!
Situation: You upstairs neighbor plays loud music for hours on end daily.
a) do nothing and slowly die of resentment.
b) call them and the building manager and tell them you expect them to stop.
c) slam a broom so violently into the ceiling that it requires therapy.
d) go up there and tell them all the ways they suck and threaten their lives.
Bonus Bonanza Boundary Blitz!
For Bonus Stars ✨ add:
1. How you would reinforce your boundary were it breached again.
2. What you would do for self care before, during and after setting the boundary.
3. What you would do for self care before, during and after reinforcing the boundary.
Boom! 💥
