Dear me...
I thought you were a bad person
For feeling a certain way.
Feelings that were never fully in your control,
Feelings that existed for a reason,
Though I couldn't see it then.
I judged you for what you felt,
Never realizing that feelings are not character.
They are moments,
Passing visitors,
Not permanent truths.
How naive of me
To define you by a fleeting moment.
I'm sorry for not understanding you.
For not being kinder to you.
For telling you how much I hated you.
For meeting your pain with judgment
Instead of comfort.
You were hurting,
And all I did was make you hurt more.
I'm sorry.
