Eating as a couple

I hate eating in silence while my partner eats his tea while watching something on his phone.
I feel awkward when that happens, cause its like we can't even have a conversation about the day. I wish there was something I could do.
Any suggestions 🤔 👀

can you make a deal to not spend meal times with devices?

I could try but its a little bit annoying sitting there on phone eating dinner
