Feeling bad
Hi everyone. I’m an addict and I’ve just come off a heavy drug binge. It got so bad. I’m in the hospital now, waiting for transport to a psych ward. It’s really hard for me right now and I’m scared. Just need someone to talk to.

Let them help you at the hospital. My daughter became addicted to heroin due to chronic pain. Her doctor put her on opioids then abruptly took her off after he thought better of it, she wound up buying on the street. This was 10 years ago. She went into treatment and group therapy and is still recovered. You can do it.
@bindugirl
Sorry to read about your daughter.
@RunningMachine
Thank you, unfortunately addiction can be an inherited disease. She is more her father's daughter than mine. She's lucky she's not dead like him and has maintained her recovery. She knows if she doesn't, I won't be there for her even though she's my only child. Unfortunately, it requires strong boundaries. And fortunately I am strong enough to uphold them.
@bindugirl
I hope the strong boundaries help your daughter too in that case.👍
@RunningMachine
I believe they are. Her doctor checks in on her monthly and she's stated she never wants to go back that way. We all have our own karma to live out. I take solace in having done all I can do.

Great job of choosing to seek help. You're at the hospital, where you can get the care you need. Hang in there and trust the process. Recovery isn't easy, but it sure is worth it!

Hi there,
I am happy you are still here! Please tell me more!
Keep your head up, you’re doing the right thing. Just pick yourself up, dust yourself off and quit again. I’m here for you. You’re in a good place, you have an amazing opportunity to get some help!
@ambitiousKiwi4083
I haven't got any personal experience that I can lean on to help but respect your bravery and honesty for reaching out. I'm sure if you can find the strength to follow the advice from the hospital and with the support of the awesome community here on Cups, you have every chance to succeed.
@ambitiousKiwi4083 Just a few words to encourage you and let you know you are worth making this journey to be drug free. Don;t know your story but usually life hasn't been easy for people who become addicted and somewhere along that path they lose sight of the fact that they are divine and have a place on this earth. May you learn to love yourself enough to become the best version of yourself
Sorry to hear that...I hope it gets better for you 💐🫂
I'm here if you'd like to talk ❤️🩹
