Feeling worse
Can i know if it's normal for a listener to yell and blame at you for everything. Mine just said really mean stuff and it made me cry. Told me I'm so stuck and don't want to be enlightened and to keep digging my heel my way. Just because i told them i feel unlovable and they told me to "love yourself first and you'll attract people who love you" which is ridiculous. Why is it conditional? Can't i just be loved without conditions?
And then kept on saying that I'm playing the victim card because i told her that she's being and it made me cry. She said she has healthy relationships with give and take unlike me because clearly it's someone's fault as if it's mine.
@Azra00zz
Maybe she meant well, but just being and saying it harshly more.
@Azra00zz
And you can't be loved without conditions, but that love is rather rare. God loves you unconditionally. And then it is more normal to parents, father and mother love their child unconditionally.
@Azra00zz
Were you just venting or did you want feedback?...
When we ask for feedback from anyone...... sometimes it is not what we expected. Text or message often only have the tone we give it. when you say they yelled in this format perhaps they had keyboard on caps lock?
the " love yourself and it does attract others" theory is often disregarded by those who have not embraced it, I did that too ... Until I practiced self-love and it Really worked for me. For those who had it work from them may not like being told it is ridiculous either.
Listeners who try may give feedback you do not like. not as mean but to have you see things differently. What kind response did/ do you want?
Love always has conditions and give and take .... if that makes you uneasy or mad perhaps professional therapy would be better.
*Professionals also give feedback that you might not like.
I'm someone who loves with my whole heart. I pay attention to little details like walking on the road side and keeping who's walking with me on the pedestrian side. Making sure my friends are well by checking up on them. Carrying heavy bags for older people i meet in the road. Giving treats to stray cats and dogs. Saying thank you even when i buy something from a store. I try to be kind and caring. I don't understand why people say that you need to love yourself to attract love or that you can't love someone without loving yourself. I love myself. I take care of myself, i have great hygiene, i treat myself to nice things, i journal, and i adore myself. I honestly don't understand what's with the "love yourself" theory.
And i was just venting. I never asked feedback.
Im so sorry for what happened to you. I hope you report them
Hi. I understand the message The Listener was trying to pass, but maybe it wasn't said with the kind intentions that it needed to be. Love can be easy and difficult to give and receive at the same time.
I think they were trying to tell you that when you spend the time and Learn To Love Yourself, you give the best love to other people. It's difficult because when people come out of a relationship or have other issues where they are not feeling overly great about themselves, people tend not to give great love to others. It's not that they mean to do that, but that's how they're feeling about themselves at that moment.
Spending time alone, figuring out what makes you happy in life will carry over to other people.
There's definitely no blame or shame, it's adaptation. You Learn To Love Yourself so much and you can give that Same Love to others. Working on yourself is the best present you can give to yourself.
I hope that makes sense! Please let me know if this helped!

@Azra00zzI feel sorry about your experience. I just want you to know that you deserve unconditional love and care. I'm here anytime you feel to be heard and I assure you it'll be nonjudgmental listening session. Stay blessed ❤️💖
@Azra00zz No. It’s not normal or acceptable 💙
You can be loved unconditionally. You don’t deserve to be yelled at or blamed. This should be a safe space for you to get out what you need to, not somewhere that makes you cry.
Feel free to reach out to me if you’d like to try again 💙
On second thought we’re actually in different age brackets 😅 so we can’t talk directly but I still encourage you to find a new listener (maybe verified one?)
