For the first time in my life, I had to end a friendship.
It's been a week and it feels so weird. I shared a lot of time with him. He used to text me pretty much 24/7. Things went downhill in a matter of weeks and it started to seriously affect my mental health so I had no choice but to part ways. Everything was done with respect and we are both at peace.
It just feels so odd to see my phone so quiet. I'll carry a lot of good memories with him but let me tell you - that friendship wasn't normal. Not by my standards, at least.
I don't know if someone is going to read this, but I needed to vent. Have a good one everybody.
@emotionalPomegranate5106 since it is the first week you gotta get used to it. its gonna take some time but itll be fine eventually. and its also good that you ended something that was hurting your mental health. because in the long run youll be better off

It's initially uncomfortable and even painful, but sometimes the the best decisions are made with the best wills. Glad you were able to find priority in this, wishing the best.
Hi Pomegranate,
I understand. I had to end one as well once I my life. I like to call this dude Creepy Creeperson. He was an absolute creep. It's one thing to not understand social cues (guilty as charged), but when one calls my name and I walk away, I think that's code for "leave me alone" not "let me chase after you." Af least this experience led me to help my friends deal with a creep they were encountering in a class a year and a half ago; I call him Creepy Creeperson 2.0. Fun.
At least you did the right thing, and I am hete if you need me.

@emotionalPomegranate5106 I have so much respect for you. It's the hardest thing to let someone go when they are impacting your mental health for the worse, especially someone very close. Im so glad you got out and admire you for your courage.
