Freeze Response. Anxiety.Depression = Hell
How do i break out of this dibilitating issue? Almost everything and everyone i encounter freezes my mind. Im overwhelmed with anxiety and i just want to get away as soon as possible. Its humiliating and the only way i know how to deal with this issue is to hide away from everything. I can spike myself with caffeine and i can talk to people for a short time but i cant do this too many days in a row or i just get exhausted, empty headed and depressed and i just end up laying alone for weeks and watching youtube. I need a plan out of this cycle. Very unhappy. Broken man.
@Bluejay12345 I'm really sorry to hear that you're going through such a tough time. It's understandable that dealing with anxiety and depression can be incredibly challenging. It's good that you've reached out for support. Instead of offering advice, I'd like to suggest a few things that might help you in breaking out of this cycle:
Consider seeking professional help from a psychologist. They can provide you with tools and strategies to manage your anxiety and depression.
Try to establish a daily routine. This can provide a sense of structure and stability in your life, which may help in reducing anxiety.
Focus on self-care. Make sure you're getting enough sleep, eating well, and engaging in physical activity. These basic self-care practices can have a significant impact on your mental health.
Set small, achievable goals for yourself. Taking small steps can lead to a sense of accomplishment and gradually break the cycle of avoidance.
Reach out to supportive friends or family members. Sharing your feelings with someone you trust can be a great source of comfort.
Remember, it's okay to take one step at a time, and progress may be slow, but with support and effort, you can work towards a better place. I hope these suggestions are helpful, and I genuinely wish you the best in your journey towards improved mental well-being. Please feel free to reach out if you want to talk more.
