Healing isn’t loud or dramatic. Sometimes it’s just choosing to stay, to breathe, to try again when walking away feels easier. If you’re here today, that already means something. Be kind to yourself, you’re doing better than you think

Thank you, patience isn't one of my virtues.

Sometimes it is not mine either!  I have found that when I am struggling with patience, I need to focus on something else, like a distraction to stop thinking about it.

It was only 18 months ago that a psychiatrist suspected I might have ADHD whilst helping me with PTSD. If I haven't burnt it sufficient energy from exercise or he general activity then my brain spins and I can't ait still at all.

Ah, so it has not even been that long. I get that! It is like you have all this energy, like you had sugar, but you didn't have any sugar. Has your psychiatrist put you on any medication?

No, the wait for a full assessment is upto9 years in UK, but as I'm on anticoagulants they can't prescribe me stimulants as it is.

I have always been hyperactive, lifetime of training and sport that would of been helped by it and probably helped with regulation too.

Reflecting back it does explain my social awkwardness and some difficulties.

Oh that is a long time. I hear you on not being able to be on stimulants. While I can't suggest any medication, I know that there are some ADHD meds that are non-stimulants. But ADHD is very manageable without medication with doing the stuff you mentioned you are doing. As someone with ADHD, I have found that it helps to have lists and things in a calendar.
