My bf 25M and me 23F we have been together for 3 years and we moved last year, he lately is just putting his attention into other things, he went out to play football at 8pm and came back about 10:40pm and he just cooked and sat down his desk and he is playing a video game I feel abandoned I haven’t say a word more than just (ok, ujum, alright) all day long we haven’t had any meaningful conversation, it can go days like that, I don’t know what to do, I have talked to him about this before
Please help
@itsliterallyme I'm new here, so I'm not sure if I'm following decorum correctly or not but I'm in a similar situation with my wife. Sometimes it's difficult, and part of any romantic relationship is to have those uncomfortable conversations when the need arises. You need your feelings and concerns to be heard, you both deserve honest and fair communication, tell them how you're feeling and why, and see where it goes from there. You got this :)
Ty so much 😭
@itsliterallyme I hope everything gets better for you, I'm here if you need to talk :)
And I’m here if you or @itsliterallyme need to talk. Sending all the love!
@itsliterallyme I had similar experience with my ex boyfriend few months after we moved in together. It may not be what you want to hear but I realised there was nothing I could do to get his attention or to talk to him unless he wanted to talk.
@itsliterallyme sometimes men need us to spell things out to them 😁 Communication is key, when we get settled in relationships, we can take them for granted and but for the spark to still be there, it requires effort, fun and time spent together. Wishing you both the best
@itsliterallyme Hello I'm sorry to hear that you been feeling unseen I know you mentioned that you have talked to him before , but perhaps it's time to have this talk again , some helpful tips could be to ask yourself what I can say or ask differently then before ? do remember communication is the key for a healthy long lasting relationship along with being happy , it's not fair that you feel unhappy in this . I wish you the best in your relationship 💓
@itsliterallyme sorry to hear that. It does sound frustrating when he acts like you’re invisible. I’m in a similar situation. My partner and I used to talk a lot but not anymore now, and he spends his time on social media/video games etc. I later found out he was actually upset about me… feeling like his whole life is useless all because of me. Sigh….. Anyways, I do think the most straightforward thing is to talk it out, like really, find a good time to talk things out calmly. If either one gets angry, that wouldn’t help. I hope you find a great solution to this. Sorry I’m also new here. Hope I adhered to all rules just fine 😅.
My boyfriend got to be like this as well, would play computer games, wouldn’t want to plan to do anything with me or talk about his life or anything important, it sucks. We went on a break after months and months of being like that and he has admitted that he was depressed and at the time blamed me for his depression, after spending time apart he realised that it was his habits making him depressed and has since changed and made an effort to do things with me. It’s probably something going on with him that he’s not ready to confront yet.
