How to think about bullying.

You probably know what bullying is. Most people have experienced it. I thought of this way to describe bullying is a simplistic way.

Think of a paper, a flat normal piece of paper ready to be written on. Then slowly crumble the paper slowly but surely until it’s a ball. This is what bullying does overtime, it ruins a persons life. If a bully does decide to apologize. You can try making the paper straight again, but it always have dents and issues in it. Words hurt a lot, even if it’s just mental abuse.

sometimes people will try to convince you nothings wrong, the paper was never crumpled but no matter what people say you know what has happened and you know the effects even if others don’t see it. People don’t have to believe you for something to be real (although the validation really does help). You have to remember too that just cause someone hurt you doesn’t mean you’re broken, it effects us deep, it changes you but it can make you stronger so you never have to go through it again.

I’ve seen others use this to explain bullying to young kids before, I think it’s accurate, no matter what you know there’s always still gonna be those dents and marks that never leave, a paper doesn’t work like that and it’s the same for us- words last- they break you on the inside, the paper wouldn’t be the same again. 🤍 thank you for sharing noodle.. :0🍜🤍 I hope others can be able to realize it more..🤍
