Awh, i'm sorry you're not feeling good :(
I found this story for you <3
The Shrouded Peaks of Aethelgard
Elara lived in the sun-drenched valley of Lumina, a place of vibrant wildflowers and laughing rivers. Yet, her world was often veiled by a peculiar, internal gloom. It wasn't a physical darkness, but a pervasive chill that settled deep within her bones, whispering doubts and anxieties into her mind. She called it the Murmur, a constant, low thrum of inadequacy and fear that made even the simplest tasks feel like insurmountable mountains.
One morning, the Murmur felt heavier than usual. It pressed down on her, stealing the joy from the morning light and dulling the vibrant colors of the valley. A wise, old woman named Lyra, seeing the familiar shade in Elara's eyes, approached her. "Child," Lyra said gently, "the Murmur has grown strong. There are whispers of a cure, though none have dared the path. High in the Shrouded Peaks of Aethelgard lies the Heartstone of Clarity, said to banish all internal shadows."
The journey to Aethelgard was fraught with peril, both external and internal. The first obstacle Elara faced was the Whispering Woods, a dense, ancient forest where every rustle of leaves seemed to carry the amplified echoes of her own self-doubt. Trees twisted into menacing shapes, and shadows stretched long, like grasping claws. The Murmur inside her grew louder, repeating past failures, mocking her ambition. You're not strong enough. You'll fail, just like always.
Elara stumbled, wanting to turn back. But then she remembered Lyra's words, and a flicker of stubborn resolve ignited within her. She focused on the crunch of leaves beneath her boots, the steady rhythm of her breath, and a small, smooth river stone she carried – a reminder of the clear waters of Lumina. Slowly, painstakingly, she navigated the Whispering Woods, each step a small victory over the Murmur's taunts.
Beyond the woods lay the Plains of Apathy, a vast, desolate expanse where colors seemed muted and the air hung heavy and still. Here, the Murmur transformed into a suffocating blanket of indifference. Elara felt her energy drain, her purpose waver. Why bother? Nothing truly matters. Just lie down and rest. Forever. The sun beat down, but she felt only cold. The ground offered no comfort, yet she longed to simply sink into it and disappear. Days blurred into a monotonous cycle of trudging forward, each step requiring immense effort of will. She remembered the laughter of children in Lumina, the warmth of her hearth, and clung to those distant memories as anchors in the emotional void. She learned to break her journey into tiny, manageable segments, telling herself, "Just to that next boulder." Then, "Just to that distant tree."
Finally, the Plains gave way to the foothills of the Shrouded Peaks. These were not ordinary mountains. They were cloaked in a perpetual, swirling mist, known to the locals as the Veil of Despair. This mist was thick, disorienting, and carried the weight of countless forgotten dreams. Here, the Murmur coalesced into concrete, terrifying illusions. Elara saw distorted reflections of her deepest fears: beloved faces turned away in disappointment, bridges collapsing behind her, leaving her isolated. The air grew heavy with unspoken sorrows, threatening to crush her.
She pressed on, driven by a desperate hope. She found herself at the foot of a particularly jagged peak, the mist so thick she could barely see her outstretched hand. A chilling, resonant voice echoed from the mist, a voice that sounded like a thousand voices, yet was unmistakably her own Murmur, amplified. "You are not worthy! Turn back, little mortal. This peak is for those who are whole, not for broken things like you."
Elara fell to her knees, the weight of the illusions and the Murmur's venomous words almost too much to bear. Tears streamed down her face, but something shifted within her. She was tired of running, tired of the constant battle. She had come too far to yield.
"No!" she screamed, her voice raw, but clear. "You are not me! You are the lies I believed!"
She rose, shaky but resolute. She closed her eyes, not to hide, but to block out the false visions. She reached inside herself, not for strength, but for acceptance. She acknowledged the fear, the doubt, the apathy – not as enemies to be vanquished with a sword, but as parts of her journey, parts that she could learn to understand and integrate, or diminish with truth.
She opened her eyes. The mist still swirled, but it seemed less menacing. The Heartstone of Clarity, Lyra had said, banishes shadows. But perhaps, Elara realized, it wasn't about banishing, but illuminating.
She began to climb, not fighting the mist, but moving through it. When a phantom hand reached for her, she didn't flinch, but simply walked through it, recognizing it as an illusion. When the Murmur whispered, she didn't argue, but listened, and then responded with her own truth. I am strong enough. I am worthy. I will not fail.
The climb was grueling. Her muscles ached, her lungs burned. But with each step, the mist thinned a little. The illusions weakened. The Murmur's voice became less a roar and more a distant drone. She reached a small plateau, and there, bathed in a soft, ethereal glow, was the Heartstone. It wasn't a grand, glittering gem, but a smooth, pulsating stone, radiating a gentle, unwavering light.
As Elara touched the Heartstone, a wave of warmth spread through her, not a sudden, dramatic explosion of light, but a quiet, profound calm. The Murmur did not vanish entirely, but its oppressive power dissipated. It became a distant echo, a faint background hum that she could now acknowledge without being consumed by it. The Veil of Despair parted, and for the first time, Elara saw the breathtaking expanse of Aethelgard's summit, bathed in clear, golden sunlight.
She returned to Lumina not as a warrior who had slain a monster, but as a traveler who had navigated a treacherous landscape and found her way home. The Murmur still tried to whisper, but now, Elara had the Heartstone's clarity within her. She understood that these internal challenges were not weaknesses, but experiences that had taught her resilience, self-compassion, and the true meaning of inner strength. She taught others in Lumina not how to defeat their shadows, but how to find their own Heartstone, their own inner clarity, and navigate the treacherous yet ultimately rewarding journey within themselves. Her valley still bloomed, but now, so did Elara.
@Thatwitchyone
It seems some minds think alike. As I was writing a story, you too it seems were summoning them.

Once upon a time, in a land far far away there lived three snefrebulous Ghamps. They were the most hasplumphin Ghamps in the entire area; from the crystalline forests of the Miglin swamps, to the inverse mountains of Outer Bamnabues, and as far away as Little-Great-Upper-Dowlingham-on-Sea. And they all lived together in their cottage treehouse on an island of red clay and fezzleweed, in the middle of Giant's footprint puddle-lake.
The three Ghamps were not related, though everyone thought they were siblings, for whenever you would see one, you undoubtably see the others...unless you didn't see them...in which case, they probably weren't there to start with. All three were considered fine examples of Ghamphood, and whenever a passing Rhinyl or Ootpe would notice them, they would invariably comment "Oh what excellent Ribbles those trio of Ghamps do make".
All three of the Ghamps had their own specialities; There was Moonch, who was the artist and pie maker. Wynwozwee, who could sing wood into any shape and was the inventor dehydrated warm snow, and Vaff, who was an expert sailor, and mostly breathed backwards. They mostly kept to themselves, trading with passing Hedgerhinorins for anything they could not make themsleves or scavenge from the squidgy banks of their water enclosed home.
One day, whilst Moonch was busy redecorating their tree with boonberry juice and pine sclap, and Wynwozwee was wondering why wibbly waterborne whelks wavered waspishly when warthogs waded West, Vaff (who did not care so much for arts and crafts or philosophical musings) was mud-larking on the banks of their island when he came across something very strange indeed. A large, smooth, something. A roundish, pearlescent, cool something. A something very much coated in the red clay ooze (which should have been there) and sitting glinting in the sunlight (very much like something which should NOT have been there). Vaff strained as he pulled the thing from the *** sludge, and it came free suddenly with a plomppp, sending Vaff backwards into the ruddy water logged bank with a loud splat.
Vaff held the item aloft as the now very soggy Ghamp held his prize aloft to the sky and examined it.....
Very cute <3
What was the censored word??

Hot tea with honey, lemon juice and ginger always makes me feel better. Or chicken broth with lemon juice and garlic. The lemon is a decongestant.
