I Need Space

Sometimes, saying “I need space” feels selfish but it’s actually a powerful act of self-awareness. We all need moments to breathe, reflect, and recharge. Setting boundaries isn’t about pushing people away; it’s about honouring your limits so you can show up better for yourself and others.
Whether it’s turning off your phone, stepping away from conversations, or simply taking a quiet walk, that space is sacred. Protecting your peace is not weakness; it’s strength. And the people who truly care will understand. Give yourself permission to choose you without guilt.
You deserve it.
I'm trying so hard to give myself the space and time I need but the people in my life won't leave me alone no matter how many times I ask.

Yes, it sometimes sounds selfish to us and even objected by others. But we really need it.
@ZenArashi needed this
Honestly, the phrase "I need a break from being perceived" is an absolute mood. Seriously. Sometimes i just want to crawl away from everyone and pretend I don't exist.
@Lemurian51611 glad to find that I am not alone who thinks like this.
Same dude, same…

I totally agree! Taking space is necessary to restore balance and maintain mental health. Setting proper boundaries helps you communicate better with others and with yourself. Thank you for the reminder 💚
@ZenArashi great message 💖💖 thank you for sharing this with us all 💖gives you a giant tiny hug 💗
Valuable post, @ZenArashi, thanks
Sometimes taking space is the best thing we can do, for ourselves, others, a situation.. It's a chance to process, to calm down, and come back in a better head-space. Knowing when to do this is important, just as being able to communicate it, and that be accepted is, like setting a short-term boundary of 'I need to take care of this'; it's not permanent, it's not the silent treatment, or stonewalling, just taking some needed time to be in a better place to deal, and when allowed and accepted can make a massive difference. No one should feel guilty for wanting and needing space, you're doing it for yourself and to be in a better space to interact with others, which is a good thing for them as well
Thanks, Zen. This post makes me feel “seen.”
