I am running away
So uh...something unfortunate happened last night. My dad yelled at me and i yelled back and he got really angry after that. He started hitting me, i dodged most of his slaps otherwise my cheeks would have been bruised. He kicked me twice or idk i didnt count and my shoulder is still hurting. He said a bunch of things which includes harsh words and one curse word. He also threatened both me and my mom to be respectful otherwise he would kick us out. So thats kind of idk crossing the line for me or idk how to feel towards this. He doesn't even regret any of it, any part of it. I heard him arguing with my mom this morning about what he did isnt wrong. My mom just dont do anything about it she just takes it all in...not like he is always like that but yes its not the first time he hit me this badly. I am thinking of running away idk if it will be worth it or not and it will change my life forever. Sure my mom can take it in but i cant. I dont think i owe him anything and if he thinks he is doing us a favor then i would like to prove him wrong so yeah thats why i m thinking about running away.
@wittyTiger6966 I am very sad to hear you're going through this. I can relate to this as I come from an abusive household as well. My situation is similar. My father yells and hits at times and my mother takes it all in and I feel trauma. I tried running away but I couldn't run away from my mind. Basically because of the trauma I couldnt function properly to get a job and become independent and I had to return home. So from my experience all I'll say is whatever path you choose, focus on your mental health to be good. I wish you lots of peace.
@Creamyyy thank you for sharing your experience. My mental health isnt really good right now but i will try to make it better.

My heart is with you. I've never been in an abusive household before and can't begin to imagine what you're going through, but please know that I am here for you and believe in you. Whatever you decide to do, I hope brighter days find you and that time will heal your wounds. Praying for you 🙏🏼
