I don't know if I'm being cynical or what?
So this speaker, one of our higher ups, is telling us about how he met his wife. So his exact words is that he met her at the church, gets on the same public transport as her every time to know where she lives. But she's smart (his words) and he never got to know where her exact home is. So he tried and tried again, and even pretended that he lives in the same neighborhood as her so it wasn't creepy that he's been following her and getting off at the same place as her.
The audience (excluding me) were like aww that's cute. That's romantic and such.
And I'm there thinking is it really? It only sounds to that he's been stalking her for days until she notice him, and he's romanticizing it is as a "cute-meet" when it's actually really creepy.
Dunno. Maybe I'm just being cynical? Or is it really stalkish like I think it is?
Two ways to read this: 1) yes, it's creepy & he should be reported to the cops, or 2) This is why most of our native-born population is shrinking: because romance is truly dead.

@JobiLee There's another angle to the situation: They're married now. If the woman had no idea what he was up to before they got hitched, does it really matter? If anyone reports him for doing it, well...there is a statute of limitations for most crimes (other than mur.der), if we're gonna call it a crime at this point. The SOL is usually seven years.
@JobiLee Yeah it does sound slightly creepy. But maybe she really had a car and just rode the bus to reverse stalk him! In conclusion, they are both stalkers and deserve each other! 😂
