I feel paralyzed
I'm not okay and I've not been for a while now. But every time I'm asked I say I'm fine. At first I thought I was just tired or bored but the feeling has lingered and only gotten stronger. I don't know what I want to do with my life and that keeps me in perpetual overthinking. I think so much but at the same time nothing comes from those thoughts and so I find myself paralyzed, worrying that I'm not being productive but not having enough "life" in me to be productive. I'm very shy and have anxiety and so I have a hard time making friends and talking to people. I don't have anyone close to me that I can open up to and I need help please.
I'm really sorry to hear that you're feeling this way, and it's important to acknowledge that it can be tough to go through such emotions alone. It's courageous of you to reach out and seek help. Remember that it's okay to not be okay and to ask for support. Consider talking to a mental health professional who can provide guidance and help you navigate your thoughts and emotions. Opening up to a therapist or counselor can offer a safe space to explore your feelings and work towards finding clarity and purpose in your life.
Feeling a lot alike.
It's a long long journey to find oneself, let alone a hobby. If at all possible. Just do whatever, anything, don't expect any achievement or comebacks, just keep doing different stuff till emotional starts being your backbone.
Expectation sometimes means more disappointment in ourselves.

I can totally relate to your feeling of being paralyzed. As another member said, "do something, do anything". Do you know why you have no motivation or feel like doing anything? No time, no money, being alone, no purpose? There's a lot of talk on this site about doing hobbies and sadly, I don't have time to do hobbies because my priorities aren't done yet, for example, washing the kitchen dishes or other household chores. With that said, hobbies and chores are better to do than to let your mind sit there and whirl and whirl without doing anything.
“Even the mundane task of washing dishes by hand is an example of the small tasks and personal activities that once filled people's daily lives with a sense of achievement.” B. F. Skinner
I got the feeling of being paralyzed a couple weeks ago and so I just started writing everyday about what my tasks are for today and I do it here on this site under the topic of goals and accomplishments. I think I do it because I'm alone and it is my way of being seen. I'm OK being alone, I'm not looking for a relationship but I do suffer from this need to be acknowledged. But more importantly, I think once I write it down for others to see it turns into a form of commitment and that helps me persevere.
If it helps, write down what you would like to do today and then come back and tell us how far along you got.😊
@Lukaisadude this is so relatable. I feel like I can't do anything to make me feel good and lost interest things once I loved . I can't sleep because I can't stop over thinkng weird thoughts pop into my mind . It's like falling from building where you can't hit the ground. I tried making up with everything but after few hours or couple of days I just feel the same way again . It's like my mind is in loop of overthinking
@Lukaisadude Literally the same, and "Paralyzed" is the exact term I say for myself aswell and I worry abt my productivity all the time aswell, I think it's better to get a job or hand over your responsibility to somewhere where you have to perform fix tasks, get mathematical abt it and it'll help you elevate out of it
