I feel sane

So recently I got an opportunity to talk to a psychiatrist consultant online. Before that, I’ve never been to the doctor because of fear that my family finds out. The online psychiatrist was asking me a bunch of questions and said there’s no need for me to take those online tests to see if I’m depressed. The psychiatrist told me that it’s near for sure that I have severe depression. Somehow this made me feel kinda calm. I finally got an answer to my years of questioning whether I’m depressed. And now I’m deciding on whether to get treatment. So that’s another step to getting better. Not sure if I really will go though since the fee is quite expensive (around two weeks of food). And also the hospital is like 30 mins away. But anyways i don’t understand why I feel this way after finding out I have mental health problems. Logically, I should be breaking down in tears but rather I feel better.

Hey Beautiful Soul 🌸

first of all, I just wanna say I hear you. And honestly? What you're feeling makes a lot of sense. You've spent so long wondering, questioning, and now you finally have an answer. That kind of validation can feel... weirdly calming. Like, "Oh, so this is real. I’m not just overthinking or making it up." Sometimes, uncertainty is more exhausting than the truth itself and about treatment yeah, I get why it's a tough call. The cost, the distance, and just the whole thing of actually going for it. It's a big step, and it’s okay if you’re not sure yet. What's important is that you're thinking about it, and that alone is progress. Whatever you decide, just know you’re not alone in this. You’re already taking steps forward, even if it doesn’t feel like it. And that? That’s something to be proud of.
