I hate Christmas!
Tis the season to hate Christmas, fa la la la la, La la la la. Now wait, before someone starts a war about me hating Christmas, I have my reasons. I thought I would list each of those reasons here. But on second thought, no, they are personal so I will keep that to myself. What’s more important is that while I was getting ready to get my bahhh humbug on, I realized something. As much as I dread the season and want to get it over with, there are some things I like about the season. Now don’t get all giddy thinking it’s only a matter of time before a crack in my scroogy armor breaks and choirs of angels singing joy to the world fly out my *** (sorry, I just had to quote the movie Titanic). No, what is important is that I realized I was actually enjoying the season once I dropped my melancholy grumbling and focused on the parts I enjoy. Like the lights - I don’t decorate at all, but I actually enjoy that my neighbors do. I bought some gifts that I hope will make my friends and their family happy. I even snuck in a few “joke” gifts that I hope make them laugh. And I get time off from work for a bit! Being grateful for these small things, and recognizing that even those small things are important, has actually been a wonderful gift in itself. I’m not throwing it my Scroogy armour any time soon, but this year I won’t wear it 24x7, and that’s a nice relief. Happy holidays to all, and to all a good night! 🎄😴
@helpfulAvocado7912 Tis the season for greed and gluttony let alone false forced fun and "having to" just because its Crimbo, its great for some kids and its great to see them in the morning opening their gifts but when you step back and look at the boloney surrounding it all, for instance peace and good will? come on! get real that's bs and you all know it, besides it doesn't just have to be then does it? its all been tailored to be a retailers dream let alone for a religious one! as is Easter (I will leave that there) I have many of my own personal reasons why I hate Crimbo which I will keep to my self. im all for a family getting together over the holiday period or anytime but it doesn't have to be just then does it? Crimbo its not for me but if it makes you happy go for it! bah humbug!

I too see no point .... did not enjoy it as a child either.... the false pretense the fake joy .... the people who think somehow they can by magic make families all get together and be happy nope they are talking behind peoples back drinking too much and eating usually a lot of sugar.......
gifts .... i have searched high and low made many sacrifices to pick the perfect gift .......to see it be opened said they loved it but never use it/ wear it or whatever i would have even returned it for them instead of helping them move years later and see it being packed never even touched since they opened it ........
then my gifts .... well for some reason bath items like bath salts or bubbles that i could frankly turn an ocean into a bubble bath ....lotions and candy just throw them out before. you reach me ....i have need of neither....... if you do not come across as sincere in your gushing over an item you are a creep and ruining it for everyone.....
stores are crowded and people are crabby ..... and i just have no interest......
