I’m Lonely… Talk to Me?
I’m putting out a similar post to what others have made recently… Struggling a bit, requesting someone to talk to and distract me… The nights are harder than the days. My texts are silent, 7Cups is silent, I’m bored and lonely, and on the less-good days, my mind wanders into a deep depression. Today, I’m ok, just feeling a bit lonely, no one to talk to… None of my friends are texting me back and the forums are too quiet for me… Talk to me about anything? Random topics, stories, games, news, things going on in your life, tell me about that pretty bug you saw outside today, I don’t care what it is, just keep me company. Not just tonight, but in general. Life gets lonely over here…
No creepy or weird conversations, please. Just good conversation, make me think, let me find new friends, etc. Recommend good kids’ and YA books, tell me about good shows and movies on Netflix, come up with random ideas for icebreakers I can make, tell me about fun things you learned at school, suggest a new hobby, ask me questions, get to know me <3 Anything goes. Random is fun! <3

Hum, a occupational therapist. Not quite a doctor, but close!

Redeemed, after l broke my back, l went to school to be an occupation therapist. I also had a lawsuit at the massive company l worked for. I won a nice chunk of change in the suit! Well, l am going to class in my wheelchair the next week, has to park 3 blocks away, it was POURING rain, you can't hold an umbrella and push a wheelchair. I had a ton of money in the bank then, so l just passed up my classroom went to the office and quit school, LIKE AN IDIOT! lol. I was making straight A's, and would have loved the job. I regret that "snap" decision big time. It took me about 5 years to run through that money! Eating out, new cars, cash for a huge house, no financial planning or advice and it ran out! Lol. Dumb to have quit O.T. school. Sheesh!

Kiara, l am bad with names. Really bad, so remind my often! Ha. It too late to go back to O.T school. I was 26 when l was going through it, got 2 years in. Now l am 68, and have forgotten so much and the pain hss gotten worse as l have aged. So l am just trying to get by a day at a time. No school for me now. Ha

You're funny, Keira! Sweetie, l am in too much pain from a snapped spinal cord to do much at all. I hardly leave the house..I could handle when younger but as l aged it got harder and harder to work. I quit TJ Maxx 5 years ago. In too much pain to work even a part time shift. I miss it and all the young friends l had, full of life. But l am okay, positive attitude by nature. I have gotten depressed before but always snapped out of it quickly. Being in a wheelchair is the easy part, after 44 years l am expert at the paraplegic part. It'sthe pain that that is my disability. It has me buffaloed! No doctors know how to stop it, it's too complex as my brain tries to figure out where my legs are, but signals hit my torn spinal cord coming back telling me wrong crazy things. So it is like torture that follows me around. Can't escape it, so l deal with it. I do what l can, rest when l need to. I am surviving! You are sweet. I have my life basically figured out, l want to see others do the same. And emotional problems are worse than physical pain to me! I am fine emotionally. So here l am, hoping to encourage others! Helps me notice my pain less and do some good, hopefully, at the same time. Thanks for your sweet personality and concern for others. You are going to be just fine! I can tell!!!

Howdy, where are you located? I an in Knoxville, Tennessee. Retired, a paraplegic, and in chronic pain and alone! Ha. Sounds fun. Right? Like you, l miss connecting with people.i am super outgoing yet alone which isn't ideal to say the least. I joined to find help for physical pain, which nobody is talking about. But found that my life experience could encourage all sorts of folks that are similar to you! You are very eloquent in the things you say! Rather amazing all you got into that one post! @warmheartedhuman836. I have a physical disability also and experience a great deal of pain much of the time. It appears to be psychosomatic and is aggravated by anxiety. Maybe you could start a conversation about this and feel free to tag me. Or if you have already please tag me so I can find it I'm not here all the time but I am sure you and others have a lot of helpful information to share.
Reserved owl, you're my first person to speak of pain. What you wrote made me wonder if there is a psycosomatic element to my pain too? Any stress causes my pain to climb! Interesting! So sorry we have pain in common. Me? Broken back, snapped spinal cord at T-12. Pain started the moment the accident happened and is still going. A boatload of Gabapentin is the only thing that knocked it down about 25%, I will take it! I have in my 44 years as a paraplegic, met a lot of people in all sorts of pain! I once started a little pain website, wore myself out trying to encourage others. Had to hand it off to two women glad to do so. But was amazed at all the vast types of conditions l had never heard of that cause physical pain, fibromyalgia being the most mysterious to me? So l don't know how to text you personally. I see people speaking of pen-pals but am clueless about that up to this point in my ten days here. Maybe l just start a topic and hope you see it? Still trying to learn the ropes here. Maybe we can help each other? Hugs!🙃

Hope you had a good day I saw a huge spider today and it freaked me out i tried to just push it out the window but ended up breaking a leg off now i feel bad because he wasn't trying to hurt anything. I gave him a little bit of bread and hope he make it.

Jesusredeemedme, love your name! He did the same for me, too! And surely you are a girl so scared of a spider. BUT, l am not fond of them either, just not terrified. BUT, I used to deliever fish to pet shops, one day the owner walked by with an 8 ft python, handed it to me and walked away. He assumed l had dealt with snakes before. Lol, l had not. I had a death grip just behind it'shead, it didn't like that and we had a battle for 5 minutes till the owner came back. He snatched it from me, "Why are you squeezing it?" He asked. Lol. I informed him l had never touched a snake in my life, and he apologized. I am not terrified of snakes, but have no desire to play with one either! Haha

Hi well i can talk to you about the weather in my country which is really getting drowned with endless strong Typhoons. It make me wish that I live in another country haha. It's always raining during these months in my country. Probably in yours, winter is around the corner.

Some say it's sad and boring. But for me who haven't seen winter. It feels exciting to see. :)

Keira, l saw on another site an older guy saying that he thinks because of social media and the world in general, young people are too much in their heads. I think he is not wrong. At age 14, you aren't supposed to have the world all figured out. I am glad you are pensive ( a new word l learned, and reflect a lot on things) but don't do so to the point of feeling down. We can overthrow things to our detriment! Remember to chill out, knowing you will accumulate knowledge and wisdom and you don't have to know it all yet. In fact none of us know it all. Just be you! You are an awesome youngster on your way to being an awesome adult. You may end up doing amazing things in your life! That is my prediction as an old man anyway! Haha

Thank you Fossil, they may be half right? Are there some Ai bots among all the hundreds of folks in here? Maybe, but big deal? If the dang bot is encouraging folks, l personally have no problem with it. But l can tell that this is not a site full of bots. If so, they have surely been programmed perfectly! These are real people, l am sure of it. But l owe them too much. I was in so much pain l moved to their basement apartment and rented out my Condo. They help me all sorts of ways. They see all the time l spend here, and think the worst. Like somebody will try to get money from me with a sob story. Which is ridiculous!!! But they have had bad experiences with Ai and the internet. And Ai is only bad if you use it badly! Like a gun! A gun doesn't hurt people, a person pulling the trigger hurts people! Same with Ai, it's at this point a tool

Keira, l am "kind of" back, just won't be online here as much. I talked to Amanda about this, it's embarrassing, but at 68 l am having memory problems. It's scary! I pray it doesn't progress into Alzheimers. But in another decade, it may? I figure being on here encouraging others HAS to be good for my brain. My family feared my judgment may be gone, and l might send money to someone with a sob story. They are overreacting to me but l am still glad they care about me. Anyway, l will be on when l can. And Keira, l think l thought you were 14! See, bad memory! You still feel very young to me, and very smart!!

I REALLY love drawing! I mostly use thin colored pens, watercolor pens, and acrylic brush markers. I used to mainly use graphite, but now I have carpal tunnel :(
