Inclusion Challenge!

This challenge is super easy:

Include someone!

Find someone who you don’t normally talk to. Say hi! Strike up a conversation! Even if it’s small talk.

“Hey, did you catch the game last night?”

“Dude… She gave us sooooo much homework, didn’t she??”

“Hey, I have extra pastries. Would you like one?”

“Love your shirt!”

Or just say hi to someone you don’t normally talk to.

Focus on those, especially, who often fall under the radar, people who aren’t always treated as equals… Those with physical or mental differences, the people who don’t speak your language, people who do the maintenance work at your job, people who are minorities, people who are unhoused, etc.

A coworker, an acquaintance, the bagger at the grocery store. Someone whose name you don’t know, or haven’t talked to much.

Choose them. Include them. Draw them into a conversation with you and other friends. Ask them questions.

You could be saving their life.

Share your journey with us! Tell us who you meet, who becomes an unexpected friend, who lights up when you choose to see and acknowledge and love them. Share the love <3

I will add a taglist, but this challenge is open to everyone, new or old, teen or adult! Share this challenge with your offline friends as well <3

Not with everyone, I'm always friendly and willing to talk, if I feel a connection with someone then I have a tendency to overshare too quickly and often reflect back later and regret it. I often struggle with feeling rejected too. It doesn't help that I naturally talk quietly and really quickly always on a rush to try and keep up with my thoughts, which I've learnt can overwhelm people. It's meant I have. Alot if aquantaincies I can't easily with but not many friends as it has made me socially awkward. It's a prime motivation for joining 7 Cupa and being active.

I tend to struggle most with people who are special needs. I’m making more of an effort to talk to and include them <3

@jesusredeemedme2425

My friend Emma that suffers with schizophrenia cheered me up today. I went to the gym 3hrs later than normal after actually sleeping for a change, her face lit up in an awesome smile as I walked in, she was chuffed to see me and said that she thought she'd missed me 😁😁
