Knowing your truth at work
I started back at my restaurant job after I lost my big yoga contract, I did not want to go back yet I still have adulting to do.
I kept showing my ambition as always and it landed me in a shift lead role which is beautiful, yet my spirit does not sparkle the same. My heart is not in the food industry anymore I just needed a job. Putting my body thru intense training i got covid last week. I am still healing thru it.
My whole body belongs to yoga in many forms. I started looking for more yoga gigs to keep me motivated. Updated my resume. Getting covid made me think more about my health and that is my biggest non-negotiable with any job. Health is everything to me. That is why I went into the wellness field and away from the kitchen. So yes I feel conflicted with holding this new job title and staying true to my self.
I am not 100% better my body still feels weak, to go back into work this week. I need more time to heal. Then get back to work.

I'm glad you are feeling better after COVID and more rested, healing hugs 💜💕 It's important to pursue your passions, some jobs are necessary to pay the bills but it doesn't prevent you from building towards the future you want 💜💕
I still have it just getting my mind and body right when I go back to work. Thank you for your words, they are truly helpful
@Lenaye8
My pleasure 💜💕
Hey, I hear you loud and clear—it's tough juggling that pull between what you need to do right now and where your heart really is. Losing that yoga contract and heading back to the restaurant sounds like a real setback, especially when your passion is all about wellness and yoga. Congrats on landing the shift lead role though; that ambition of yours is shining through, even if the sparkle feels dimmer in the food world.
I'm sorry you're dealing with COVID on top of it all—that weakness and need for more healing time makes total sense. Health is your top priority, and it's smart you're honoring that by giving yourself space to recover. It's okay to feel conflicted about the job; it doesn't mean you're not staying true to yourself. You're already taking steps like updating your resume and hunting for yoga gigs—that's you steering back toward what lights you up.
Take the time you need to heal. What's one small thing that could help you feel more grounded right now? I'm here to listen more if you want.
Thank Yah Highly @zaxoosh
Reading this after fully back into work and taking care of myself truly made my heart smile.
It felt like a positive pivot in life knowing my experience for restaurant life upon reflection. Grateful to work and experience this life one more time as a responsible adult!! Even when I am called a diva at work!! Have a more detailed mindset to everything that happens/goes on during a shift.
I am volunteering my yoga services back to my big yoga gig. I have noticed the impact of me not being there deeply!!! On both parties💝💝
Having yoga still in movement outside of work will continue to add to my glow in life!! Coaching yoga as well sets my heart ablaze
I have to let the past go of how brutal the old reataurant life was it has changed including me healing my body from it🙌🏾🙌🏾
