As the college semester progresses, i find myself with a large lack of motivation even though i only have a month left. I am so done with school as a whole atm and i just want it to be over with. on the flip side, however, i am also no motivation to start my next semester because i have heard it is one of the hardest semesters ill ever have to take. does anyone have any good tips about motivating one’s self? How do I continue to push forward despite a latge amount of work ahead of me ?

@slixy

As a college student, I hear you. I was in a similar position last semester. For me, it helped to break all the work I needed to get done into smaller parts. That way I felt a sense of accomplishment when I completed it! Which then gave me motivation to continue on! Has anything helped before when you lacked motivation? You got this!💜

I am the same way with assignments. I just look at the road ahead for my degree and it stresses me out just thinking about it. I am a good student and am usually on top of stuff, but it just is demotivating seeing how hard this year was and knowing itll just be harder next year. I am in aerospace engineering currently and I love what i do in my classes, but i am just nervous for the road ahead.

I understand this 1000%

im In my second year of college and it feels like my life is falling apart. I’ve always had a clear goal of who I want to be and what I would need to achieve to get there but this part year has really taken a toll on me in every year imaginable. I have no motivation for anything whatsoever, I didn’t go to classes for a whole week which obviously put me behind , even just getting up and brushing my teeth or taking a shower seems nearly impossible to do. I’m rly tired of this feeling. I’m running out of time

It sounds like you're going through a difficult time, and it's understandable to feel overwhelmed and unmotivated towards the end of the semester, especially when there is a lot of work ahead of you. However, from my life experience as a "been there" situation as a student many years ago, a few things I tried back then might be of help to you.

I'm in no way suggesting them that they are 100% correct or otherwise as it does vary from individual to individual on what can be implemented as well. So please read the below with a pinch of salt.

First, try to break down your remaining tasks into smaller, more manageable chunks. This can help make the workload feel less daunting and more achievable. You might also try setting specific, measurable goals for yourself, such as completing a certain number of assignments each day or week.

Another helpful strategy is to create a study schedule that includes specific times for studying, taking breaks, and engaging in other activities you enjoy. Having a routine can help establish a sense of structure and make it easier to stay on track.

It's also important to take care of yourself during this time. Make sure you're getting enough sleep, eating well, and engaging in physical activity or other forms of stress relief. When you take care of your physical and mental health, it can be easier to focus and stay motivated.

Finally, it might be helpful to reach out to others for support. Talk to friends, family, or a counselor about how you're feeling and what you're struggling with. Sometimes just having someone to talk to can help you feel more motivated and less alone.

Remember, it's normal to feel unmotivated at times, but it's important to keep pushing forward and take steps to stay motivated. With a little planning and self-care, you can get through this challenging time and come out on the other side feeling accomplished and proud of what you've achieved.

We're here for you & rooting for your success :)
