Learning to live without her
My grandma passed away on August 30th, and I still can’t believe she’s really gone. Even though I was there when she passed, it feels impossible to accept. I keep thinking I could walk into her house and see her sitting on the couch like always… but she won’t be there.
This is the closest person I’ve ever lost, and the grief feels unbearable. Some moments I’m numb, other moments I feel like my heart is breaking all over again.
For those who’ve gone through this kind of loss what did grief look like for you? What helped you keep going when it all felt unreal? Any advice or comfort would mean so much right now. <3

I am so sorry, that is SO hard, losing a piece of your heart along with one of your favorite people in the world. It helps me to write them a letter. Not just one. Brand new notebook, I might write a letter 4 times a week some weeks. Always sad and grieving and tear stained at first, then happy moments of just sharing my day after a while. It feels close like they are here again while writing. Write Raw, don't hold back.
