Mental health

My mental health’s been slipping lately and I can feel it. More anxiety and waves of overwhelming emotion along with a lot more clinginess. I’ve opened up to one of my two close friends about starting to self harm again, but haven’t really elaborated on anything else. I’m scared to continue talking to him. What if he doesn’t really want to talk to me and what if it’s burdening or annoying him? My other close friend doesn’t handle serious conversations well. The last couple times we’ve started more serious talking about more serious or personal topics, she cuts off the conversation or makes it a joke. I’m scared to talk to them, I don’t want to bother or burden, but I feel alone and I miss them and I want them to know I’m hurting. I’m not sure what to do.

@littleStrawberries1840 aww honey I'm so sorry 🙁 I wonder if your doctor might be able to provide you with extra help during this rough patch ❤ and don't be scared to show your feelings and struggles with your friends, if their true friends they will be happy to try help. And of course you have all of us here at 7 cups, I hope you find some comfort here ❤ gives you a giant tiny hug ❤❤

Dealing with a wave of emotions is tough, especially when your friends don’t take it seriously. I’ve been there too. I used to talk to my parents about my mental struggles, but they'd just brush it off, saying it was no big deal and that I shouldn’t be weak. It hurt a lot, so I stopped talking to them about it and started dealing with everything on my own. I got through it somehow, but honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Keeping everything to myself just made me feel even more alone, like no one would ever understand me. I don’t know your friends, but if they are real friends, they’ll listen in the end. When I finally told my parents how much I had been struggling, they were surprised and said they had no idea it was that bad.

So, my advice is don’t go through it alone. Your friends probably just don’t realize how you feel. Give it some time, and when you’re ready, try to open up to them. Once they understand, they won’t see it as a joke anymore. Real friends are there for you, even if it takes them a while to get it.

Hope you a good day.

Your feelings are valid, I'm really sorry that your feeling this way, you do not deserve to feel like you a burden, if you can't talk to someone you can to me or to one or the listeners on 7 cups. You are not alone I can promise you that, you can tell me anything I'm a very good listener and you won't be a burden for telling people how you feel even to close ones. ❤

May God bless you 🙏🏻 ❤
