I am living with suicidal depression, I have a few tricks that I learned to cope. Even survive.

Most I figured out on my own. I never had access to mental health help of any kind.

  1. Start taking a stack of Omega 3 and a multivitamin everyday religiously. This is non negotiable. This may have been the single greatest thing I ever decided to do to improve my mental health. Optional: ashwaganda, tongkat ali, and fadogia are great additions.

2. Cardio exercise and other endurance exercises take stress off. I lift weights and go for jogs. But relaxed walks with music or a podcast in your ears will keep your mind occupied.

Not a miracle cure, give it time. The stack will be a game changer for you tho.

@Yunora

Hi!

I hear what you are saying 🙏

After years of therapy and everything else I could think of to make life better (self-help books, seminars, career counseling, medication, more education, job changes, meditation, changing churches) the one thing that set my life in a purposeful direction is what you are doing here—making connections with fellow seekers in an open, supportive. and loving environment.

If there is any way I can assist, let’s continue the conversation 🙂

I can start … besides that feeling of being “a bit lost” is everything else in life generally stable? Or is there a particular area of mental health or self-development that could use some attention (such as family or professional relations, personal connections, etc.)?

It’s more general for me not really focused on one specific area

@Yunora

Well, if all else is generally stable in life, then what has helped me to feel “not lost” was getting to know myself, finding community, and giving help to others.

How do you feel in those areas?

One thing that has really helped me recently is doing a few at home workouts as soon as i get up. It doesnt gotta be intense, but even something like ten wall pushups or something can start the day off with a small boost that can really snowball into making your day better. It gets my blood flowing and makes me feel like, well atleast if nothing else good happened today i did something for my phsyical health right away.
