No love in childhood

Hey People,

I didn’t receive love as a child because I didn’t have parents who were there for their children. I’m 34 years old now, and I often wonder if I even know what love feels like — even toward my own children. I want to feel more.

How can I do that?

Can you consider you may feel more then you think?  Maybe you just are not sure of how to show it. What works for your family may not look the same as others.    How love works in families looks different in different families.   it is hard to judge other things by looking from the outside or without details.   Trying to copy someone else may not feel authentic to you or those you are trying to show you care.   is your spouse more at ease in showing love?

I used to have similar feelings about my childhood but then learned some things about parents that showed me how they too struggled in learning how to be a good parent.   They had struggles I never knew and if I had I might have seen their issues more clearly. Never leave people in the dark.
