Numb to the core
Recently, I’d been numb. Maybe it’s the trauma, tge anxiety, or anything else. But all I know is, I’m feeling numb. I am not feeling my emotions I’m just intelectualizibg them and forcing myself to almost inadvertently avoid them because “it’s illogical”. With everything going on in the world, why worry about my feelings. My emotions are buried under the fear of airborne chemicals reaching me from the Ohio derailment, mass shootings, health threats, my disabilities, and I just can’t shake it. I tries talking to my husband but he’s not as in touch emotionally as I am, and that’s fine. But I just. I don’t want to feel nothing. I want to feel. I want to smile, I want to enjoy things.

I'm sorry to hear that you've been feeling numb and disconnected from your emotions. It's completely understandable to feel this way, especially with so many overwhelming and distressing events happening in the world right now. I hear you on wanting to avoid all your emotions. But, it's important to remember that emotions are a natural and necessary part of being human. No emotion is illogical. Everything you are feeling is soo valid <3 💜
