PSA: Please Don’t Read Pen Pal Chats! :)
Please don’t lurk, read, react, comment, or subscribe to pen pal chats that are between other people. It’s very unsettling to see a reaction or a comment in a conversation, from someone who is not a part of a conversation. I have a penpal chat with a friend and we’ve gotten multiple likes and a comment on it from other people.
Please, respect the conversations between other people. When someone interacts in a penpal chat, it feels like an intrusion, as if someone were spying on you or eavesdropping on your conversation in a restaurant. Especially when some of us have mental issues, those feelings and fears are scarier and deeper than for others.
Please be respectful and kind to us all by giving others a quiet and gentle place to have a conversation with a friend. Thank you! <3

Totally agreed. Though the forumland is pretty much public, if there's a cautionary mention of a particular thread, say a personal journal/ diary entry here or pen pal threads that have specified being personal/private and not open for participation whether active (commenting) or passive (lurking/upvoting), I think we can all do a better job at being more mindful and respectful about the same.💛
People are still doing it, even with “please don’t read” disclaimers… It feels like we’re being disrespected. :(
