@jesusredeemedme2425 it depends. If you are self employed or under specific part time contracts, then yes you have to do them yourself. You can pay for an accountant to do them for you, but for it to be worth it you need to have more than 1-2 papers (your work gives you a sort of summary on how much they paid you for this tax purposes). So under this specific part time contract it's genuinely not worth it to pay someone and you just often do them yourself and pray for the best. I was so confused I had to go to the tax office to ask what the *** is even up with those papers 😂 luckily the lady there was very nice and made an exception by helping me file it. There is no day I wouldn't appreciate her
If I could afford an accountant, I would lol. Taxes are EVIL hehe
@jesusredeemedme2425 Yep. Imagine being on a contract with so little hours you barely made anything and then pay a part of that to someone else whose pricing is based on clients who smack down a messy binder 😂

Once my dad had to file his taxes. I told him, “Dad, don’t go to the office. I’ll file it online in five minutes.”
I opened the website, but first I forgot the password. Then the verification code didn’t arrive. After that, the internet became slow.😭✌
While I was still struggling, my dad quietly filled the paper form and said, “I’ll go to the office and finish it.”
Before leaving he smiled and said, “Your five minutes online are longer than my whole trip offline.” 👻
@curiousbookishness That's a funny story... It takes me a good 4-6 hours online, but my taxes aren't exactly simple.

Also check with your local library. AARP tax aid may be taking appointments there to fully file taxes if you are low income.
