Recovering from abusive relationship

Me and my bf of 3 years were having constant arguments for few weeks about his career and some tiny things about our relationship. One night when i blocked him he spam called me several times middle of night not letting me sleep. I got annoyed so thought to sort things out face to face. We met the next morning and were talking things out. We started arguing and i said maybe u don’t love me and i said it was abusive and toxic of him to bother me continuously at night even though i begged him to stop. He suddenly slapped me. 3 years of realtionship just flashed through me. Those lovey dovey things he said and all the gifts he gave. He was supposed to be my safe space and he raised his hand. I was speechless and very much scared. I’m actually sensitive to anger. He knew it. Then I ran back home ended the realtionship. Next morning again 8 missed calls continuously when I answered the next call he said i deserved to be slapped because apparently i said he didn’t love or care for me but he did because i was wrong i deserved to be slapped. Now everytime i think of that incident i start to shake. I’m scared and trying to be strong.

Sorry you had to go through such a situation and face this kind of abuse. You do not deserve this. You are not alone in this. Stay strong and do not give up on yourself.. keep reminding yourself about how special you are and what you deserve!

@humorousTangerine6409

There's no excuse for slapping someone no matter the situation.

He alone is accountable for his own actions.

It's frustrating because people show us truly who they are when we are not pandering to their every whim

They can be charming and kind.

And loving, but when you stand up to them , they gaslight you into thinking it's your fault, when it's not.

You deserve someone who makes you feel safe , where you can just be you 💛
