Skin color
I'm naturally duskier than rest of my family members. All my life i have had people come up to me to suggest different kind of methods to "lighten my skin colour"
My parents have a disgusted look on their face whenever they talk about my skin color. My colour had been used as a tool for mocking me countless number of times. For the longest time i have believed that the reason people don't like me or my relationships have failed is because of how i look.
I am now 24, a doctor, i have also overcome a lot of obstacles but never been appreciated for same it all comes down to my look in the end. I still feel like the same teenager me sometimes whenever i look in the mirror trying to point out all my acne and hyperpigmentation and sobbing continuously.
I fear things will never change.

This is dreadful.. People continue to regularly discriminate against you because your different.
I'm sorry to hear this has harmed you.
We on 7cups don't discriminate, we are all equals here just trying to survive and hopefully thrive..

Lime you have achieved so many things in your life don't let people disrespect u cause of ur skincolour , every skin tone is pretty, everyone is pretty in their own way , people who judge someone by their skin tone and physical appearance are just insecure one , the healed one will never say anything bad about ur appearance, some people are really insecure so they do make mocking of others to feel good about their looks and all .
U don't have to think much focus on ur life and urself , the right people will find you
Take care pls love urself 💗

I have been there myself so I can relate the ways one can sabotage their ownself just to fit in 🙃
Girl mark my words, there is nothing wrong with you.
We are born in a judgemental insecure society, so if people are shallow minded then the problem is with them not you.
You carry yourself with utmost pride & glory. No need to dim your light around people who are pure energy *** pit.
I hope you meet wonderful people here as well as in real life who see you for your soul heart brain not just looks which fades aways ✨️
People can be the worst, I have a niece and nephew who are half Asian half white Scottish and they to have been bullied for their skin colour and like I said to them,it's so rediculas that people will point out what you can't change, you've accomplished more in your short time than most people and that speaks volumes for your resilience. Always remember it's not the colour but the integrity of the person that counts and you my friend are no different to anyone of us, don't listen to that utter BS.people will point out what most of us were born with not what we choose in this life.imbrase it,your a smart person and highly likely a interesting person that's what should matter. Dispite incredible adversity people overcome and I believe you are in that category you just don't know it yet. Keep your head up and remember the life you want doesn't start with skin colour it starts with what's inside
Your thoughts and behaviour is the thing that matters if you are attractive and beautiful and have no common sense than what that means
The person who meant to be in your life they notice who you are actually not your cover that means looks
So never feel like that you are very special confident and a good human being you can achieve all your dreams and goals never put your self down for other's prospective
We all are blessed and special because creator is god no one can judge he created the best version of so enjoy it

When people are kicking your ***, never ever volunteer to help them do it. That's what we're doing when we take all that nastiness we hear from others and start saying it to ourselves in the bathroom mirror. In this life, you can only be certain that you will be the one you can rely on. Don't let anyone turn you into your worst bully. Bullies come and go. But you'll be with you your entire life.
You know what I did at 24? I made coffee. If somebody pulled up to me at 24 talking about, "I'm a doctor," I'd have had my eyes on the floor. I would SHRIVEL, do you understand me? I am 39 now and I feel deeply flexed on.
These people making you feel inferior better be rocket scientists. All you have to do at any time is say, "sorry to cut you off, but did you know I'm a doctor? Like, I have a doctorate, just so you know. Anyway, continue." If you don't do that every time someone says something wild to you, you're better than me.
Baby, all anyone has is a cheap shot about your complexion. I'll bet the reason for that is you already won at everything else.
