Someone I am.
Hey,
Most of you have seen my recent thread called 'The day I lived ' . It was based on society and me. And the mask that kept unfolding inside of me . The link to that is here:
https://www.7cups.com/forum/generalsupport/General_2440/ThedayIlived_310139/
But .. this is just another part to how I see the world.
Sometimes it feels like the world is spinning. We are so busy, so lost in this hustling bustling crowd. We forget who we really are. But all we are thought to be is our job, our status, our health, our likes and views on social media. That's all we are thought to be. That's how the illusion of perception grasps our hearts. If I don't have enough of what society wants it's seen as unreal and stupid. Yet we still sit here. Watch this whirlpool tear us apart. And eventually.. Depression.. Anxiety... Eating Disorders.. they all hit you all at once. When you scroll a page all you see is perfect bodies and perfect people with perfect families. And the same competition for likes and followers. Humans are like spiders. We want to live in other people's webs. Yet our own web seems to be the weakest. But what if we could .. slow down. And really question who we are. Really watch ourself grow and.. embrace life as it is? What if we could look in the mirror and think we are beautiful for your first time without someone telling you that your a monster and your ugly and your not worth it? What if our status and job doesn't define us? Maybe success isn't your money or your hard work. Maybe it's just who you are on the inside. That person you haven't really understood for such a long time. That innocent, beautiful person you have been looking for.. You. We are not our money, we are not our school or job, we are we. The person inside you is really precious and soft. They want attention and love. Because the person you are on the inside deserves love and kindness equally as everyone else does. You are not defined by trauma.. you are not your job . Your are not your money. Eventually we don't take it to our grave. At the end I will take my heart and soul with me. My love. My care. Me. I. And even though I'm sitting in this place alone, I know you are there. Crying. Maybe even suffering. I'm right here. With you. They say 'dont be afraid ' but it's okay to be afraid living in a big scary world. It's okay. That someone I am on the inside is not the same person who I am on the outside. Just maybe some day.. we find courage. To be ourself.

@amiableBunny4016 Hello again! On your last post, you said that I made you feel understood, but oh how reading this felt like someone had opened up my head and read aloud what they saw. You have such a unique perception of the world, one that I wished more shared with you.
Human beings are inherently social creatures, that’s how we have survived so long, by working as a group to overcome life’s challenges. I think there’s some inherent need to be accepted in all of us as a result of our history. If you weren’t accepted by the group back then, it had serious consequences for your survival. But now a days, that’s not true. We don’t NEED social acceptance to survive, but going without it can be incredibly uncomfortable, hence so many people scramble for it.
And a lot of that acceptance that we feel like we need comes from our money, our status, our jobs, political views, physical appearances, etc. Sometimes people need outside validation to be able to validate themselves. Many of us seem to be born with this feeling of “I have to prove my worth. I have to prove that I’m worth the space I take, the food I eat, the oxygen I breathe”. But I don’t think it’s from birth that we have that, I think it’s instilled in us as we grow up.
My grandfather once told me “being beautiful is great, but if the world was blind, who would you impress?” and that’s always stuck with me. Who would I impress? The people who love me? My boss? My partner? People on the street? Maybe the person I need to focus on impressing is myself. And maybe I can do that by just… being. Just living, smiling, laughing, crying, watching my life slowly move on by and being able to look at it and think “this is good”. When people look back on you, it’s not your appearance, or your status, or your followers, or your money that they will truly remember. It’s how you treated them, it’s the words you said to them, how you made them feel that will truly stick with them.
Maybe our picture of “successful and worthy” has nothing to do with our followers, careers, friends, etc. Maybe it should be about the souls that reside in your bodies, the kindness that lives in your hearts. Maybe it should be more about how we look at the world, and less about how the world looks at us. Maybe the mirror is not there to show me what others see, but to show me the human vessel that holds these thoughts, these feelings. Maybe my reflection isn’t there for me to scowl at with harsh words “you should be better, prettier, kinder, thinner”. Maybe it’s there for me to observe, with no judgement, and take a moment to truly see myself, not just for the freckles on my skin and the colour in my hair, but for the kindness in my eyes and the gentleness of my hands. Maybe I am still a child, maybe I need to be a little kinder to the kid within me, maybe I need to love them a little pay them a little more attention. Maybe then I will look at myself with ease, without turning away, and say “I love you, because you are me”.

My friend, you talk about how I put things into words but you put everything together amazingly! Thank you so much again and I agree with you. Yeah .. we have been dependent on others for so long.. formed groups. Humans want approval from others. Thank you again! It's been so lovely meeting you and that we can share similar ideas! And of course hope we can talk further in the future!
@amiableBunny4016 Haha, you're welcome! I've quite enjoyed chatting so I hope we can chat again in the future too 😊
@amiableBunny4016
dudeeee, you totally need your own TedTalk segment. You need to preach this to the kids at my school I swear. You're view of the world is one of which many people choose to the world but this side of the world is what is most important. The side where you don't see the struggle and the manipulative ways of humans, our phones, social media, ect. And I think its so beautiful ur helping others see that. im so so so so so so very proud
I second that 100%!
Kids (and adults) need to hear this. This world needs to.
You should publish your writing @amiableBunny4016

I'm a writer with some published work (still doubt myself when saying that...me a real writer?) and know good writing when I see it. My best pieces are on personal mental health because it's all heart.
And yours is the real deal. Authentic heart is always best and this is all ❤️. I can't wait to read more.
The School of Life can be brutal teacher in an abusive world but you've learned your lessons and one day will teach others in a brave great way.

That was nice to read, i have some trouble getting over these judgments, most of my closest friends define me by how much i show off, my relationship status and my popularity at work. it feels bad u know, i wanna be enough just by being who i am, and not have to change myself just to attract people's eyes.
Em
@21themoon
Hi Em,
Nice to meet you . It sounds like you are struggling with similar problems ☹️I hear you. It's really difficult when we get judgements from people we trust ☹️remember this doesn't define you at all. You are enough just the way you are Em. I'm really proud of you for sharing this with me 💕 I understand how difficult it is to believe in ourselves but you are *worthy* and *enough* just the way you are 💕 I know it's hard to believe right now. But we all find a way . You have shown such courage sharing this and I'm always here to talk in forums if you want to! You are a really precious human being and you are worthy of love and kindness. Remember sometimes other people say things out of their own jealously, insecurity or anger and that's not your fault ☹️ Its totally normal to wanna be respected and treated kindly 💕 *hugs if okay* you don't need to change who you are for others. You know what they say? Be kind to yourself. Because you are going to spend the rest of your life with yourself. 💕 You are amazing just the way you are. I hope you find people that believe in you and surround yourself with kind people. The fact that your here is wonderful and I'm so glad to have met you. I know it's hard to believe what I say now, but I hope tommorow or in years time you come back and say that you got through it 💕🤗

@amiableBunny4016 Thank you for the tag 🙂 You really are great with putting thoughts into words. I could definitely see you having a book published. 💙

@amiableBunny4016
We humans are just like that, never satisfied with what we have, always aiming for more and more and more. In some cases its good, a healthy fire pushing you to be your best self, but in other cases it turns out horrid, the healthy fire becomes unhealthy, burning everything, replacing it with negative emotions like jealousy, greed blah blah blah. If only that pandora hadn't frikkin opened that box.
My math teacher used to say that every single person is equal to 1, meaning if you add up all their skills and characters, they always add up to 1. Maybe someone has a 0.9 in looks, but they may have only a 0.1 in everything else and maybe someone has a 0.1 in looks, they're sure to have a 0.9 in some other things. But instead of discovering what their 0.9 is, they end up drooling on someone else's 0.9.
Moral of the day: Just be true to yourself and be yourself, who gives a *** what other think? If they're that judging you shouldnt even bother looking at them. Just focus on finding your 0.9.
PS: Bunnyyyyyyyyyyy, im falling for your writingggggg aaaaahhhhh.
