Sudden triggers related to my family

Earlier today, I was eating breakfast which involved eating items that reminded me of some sad memories while growing up with an abusive family. Though I don’t want to talk about what happened, I will mention that eating the type of food triggered some very sad memories. I also started crying because I went bo contact with them. We don’t get along and they don’t seem to respect me as a person.

I cried about a recent event that happened last Summer where I was left out. So today, I have been crying.

@SummershyI'm so sorry to hear that you're going through such difficult emotions. It's completely understandable that certain foods and memories can trigger strong emotions, especially when they're associated with past traumas. Remember, it's okay to feel and process these emotions, and it's okay not to want to talk about them until you're ready. Take your time to heal and reach out if you ever need someone to listen or offer support ❤️

No the problem is that I have talked about these things too much that I would get upset.
