Surgery and support
Hello everybody,
I had a visit at the dentist's today and it turns out that I had a bad situation with my wisdom tooth. I would have to get it operates within a week from today. Since this is so anxiety giving, and it's just so hard for me right now to even come to terms with getting a big surgery done, I am looking to create a network for myself from whom I can receive some emotional support. Please reply to this forum thread if you want to be with me pre and post operation, I will gladly have you as my long term listener. Looking forward with a wishful heart

Anything related to operating and hospital is truly super anxiety-inducing, I can relate with how overwhelming it feels emotionally, and ofcourse shouldn't even start with the physical pain. :')
I'm really glad you got to see the dentist and have finalized a date for the surgery already, the faster it's acted upon the better, I feel!
Yay for developing an emotional support network, you certainly deserve it also. While I'm unavailable at this time for long term listening or regular chat-support, I'm a forum tag away whenever you'd like some company!

Something unfortunate happened so I am letting you know right here! I had a family doctor end up advising me that a surgery is absolutely unnecessary, and my symptoms are dealable, by some home remedies and medication. So I'm disheartened and genuinely surviving the after effects of hearing "what is to be done to me during surgery". We visited 3 doctors who all said the same thing. I cried, I called up a friend and he magically had a dentist at hand. I was explained for 20 minutes. I am genuinely hurt today
