Important reminder!
AMEN!
I have been grateful more than once that I am female and thus have an easier time with mental health stigma and seeking and receiving help.
My dad has a mental illness, but he has Never Gotten Help, possibly because of the increased stigma for men!!! It makes me feel horrible.
Totally agree, Kiara!
Men, it is okay if you are struggling in any way, and with your mental health! It is okay to ask for help! In order to be strong in the future, you need to take care of what needs to get taken care of in the present! I will not think less of you if you need therapy or medication or day hospital or partial hospitalization or inpatient hospitalization!!! You are just as strong as ever, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! We love you and want you to get all the help you need, and it is not a weakness to need help!
