The Reality of Cancer
Watching my grandmother suffer through cancer was the hardest thing I've ever had to endure. I wish I could say she left this world peacefully, but there was nothing peaceful about her passing. She was in unbearable pain, trapped in a body that no longer allowed her to speak or move, even though she wanted so badly to connect with the people she loved. Seeing someone so strong brought down by something so cruel broke my heart. Cancer is a thief, and it's the cruelest thing I've ever witnessed.
