@Anuli I read an article about a woman who has just been out of the prison at the age of 60. She applied to Stanford university and got accepted. She got her own degree and now she works there at one of the most prestigious universities in the world. After being condemned she didn't give up so you can do as well ❤️🩹

My wife and I met when we were much younger and dated very very briefly. But, I knew the moment I met her that she was going to be my wife and prob has been in another life and time.
Unfortunately we both lived in very bad situations. She lived in a run down hotel room with her mom, who was on drugs at the time, and both were strippers.
I was living in an equally run down hotel room with my step sister and her 2 kids and was working on a website for the strip club when we met.
Anyway, one night I went to see her at work and she was having a terrible night. Her mom had gotten them kicked out of their hotel and my wife had lost everything. She called her adopted father for help and he was coming to pick her up.
I knew it was going to be the last time I would see her but didn’t have the confidence to tell her to come with me.
She walked out of the door and for 15 years, I tried to fix my broken heart by finding her. Which I finally did. By the time I had found her though, she had been through 14+yrs of trauma from the narcissistic dummy who love bombed her and conned her into marrying him. Promising the world and then trapping her on a 300 acre farm and abusing her, until she finally had enough and walked the couple of miles to a hospital for safety.
The happy ending here is that we saw each other for the 1st time on valentines weekend of 2019 and haven’t really been a part more than a handful of days since. We got married in March of 2021 and swoon over each other constantly.
She is and always truly be the love of my life. But if I could go back to any moment in time, it would be to the night she walked out of the door to keep us both from making a ton of mistakes in the aftermath of that moment.

Our relationship is the one place we both know we can truly find safety and support. As people who have each “been through it” we know what we don’t want to go through or put each other through in the future and I think we both do a great job of honoring those commitments with one another. It’s so important!!

My wife and I talk about everything. We have each others backs and we trust one another. When we first got back together she told me about things she wanted to do but her “was-band” as we call him would make fun of her dreams and tell her she would never do them.
I told her right then that if there was ever ANYTHING she wanted to do, we were going to do it. Even if I hate it, I’ll hold her purse and she can do whatever the thing is.
The first bday we spent together, I gave her 15 days of bday to make up for the 15 years we missed and we ticked off a couple of those bucket list items.
That being said, she’s the exact same way with me. She supports all of my hobbies and interests. Even if they’re going to be temporary or she doesn’t “get it”.
We will always be the support that the other needs and always look out for each other. We hype each other up and invest in one another emotionally, financially, spiritually, etc. and we share everything, including responsibilities equally. Neither of us had even 1/10th of that support before so it’s an amazing contrast.
I will also say, even during tense times or awkward moments (which we all have) I think the biggest key is to remember/realize that we really are on the same side.

Thank you! This year, she’s turning 42. She’s a HUGE fan of the book hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy (which says 42 is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything) so I’m throwing her a surprise party that will last all weekend.
We’ve got friends coming from multiple states. The 1st night is just dinner as people roll in. 2nd day is a hitchhikers guide scavenger hunt in Chicago with her actual party afterwards.
The next day is brunch, a museum, and then a sunset river cruise of the city!
She is clueless because we just moved here and she thinks everyone is too far and because I’m going to take her to see Les Mis in a few days; which she thinks is her actual birthday celebration. 😂

I would go back to the age off 8 and be kinder to myself (body and mind) as the days went by.
Not believe it was my fault. I would have told myself that my love was pure and not the reason for the actions of those men. (My mom told me it was my fault, my love confused them)
