When all hope is lost and you have nothing to lose
What to do then?
I fail at every aspect of my life.
I'm not smart.
Not strong.
Not religious.
Not special.
Nobody loves me.
Nobody wants me.
People hurt me.
The environment is toxic.
My mind is toxic.
When every side of my life is at rock bottom as if I was a newborn child with zero value or meaning.
Getting hurt easily, crying often at the smallest issues, overthink about everything and everyone, and depending on those who hurt me to love me because they're my family
Where do I begin to fix all that endless mess?
I lost all hope and I don't know what to do.
It hurts every day.
It never stops hurting.
Even the happy moments make me feel guilty.
What is a worthless person like me, who's too scared to even be better out of fear of arrogance that comes with success supposed to do in this never ending cruelty?
And feeling too guilty and scared to choose myself because it's not in my character to be selfish?
@sensitivePal85266
You are not worthless.
Maybe you feel alone.
Like nothing can help, and nobody wants to.
But, we do want to help, because you deserve it.
Not being “smart” doesn’t make you worthless.
Not being “strong” doesn’t make you worthless, either.
Neither does not being religious.
These things you mention- your environment, your family, even your mind sometimes- are out of your control.
I know it’s hard, especially when it seems like the toxicity is all you will ever know.
But you are not alone, and you are not worthless.
Crying at the smallest things, or overthinking things, may not help you… but don’t hate yourself over them, either. For now, at least, they are a part of you, although they may not always be.
When it feels like no one loves you, and you don’t want to love yourself… don’t forget that you deserve a place in this world. No matter how many times it has to be said until you fully believe it, keep repeating it.
Because it’s true.
You would not be selfish to choose yourself. It may feel that way, I know… but you matter, too, and you are just as important to take care of as those that you care for. Taking care of yourself is not selfish… it is making sure you aren’t stretching yourself too thin at the expense of others.
Maybe think of it as growing instead of “fixing,” because nothing about you is wrong. Yes, your feelings hurt, and you should not have to go through that alone… but it is not wrong of you to feel that way. Instead, you can grow and move past that pain, even if it takes time.
It’s okay to take your time. Your time, because it is yours, and you don’t always have to give it to others.
You’ve reached out. That is an amazing accomplishment. If you ever feel the need to do so again, there are countless people who would be willing to remind you that you are amazing, and deserve to be taken care of. Because it is true… no matter what your mind or environment tells you.
What to do? Just show up wake up every morning knowing so many couldn't show the world u deserve better don't show that ur weak 💪
Salam brother.
I won’t give you fake hope, insult your intelligence or claim I can ever understand what it’s like being in your shoes.
All I can offer is the acknowledgment that since your post here and your profile basically also describes me, I can at least slightly recognize and imagine the daily struggle and anguish you’re in.
So what I suggest is we check in with each other occasionally, knowing even though I can’t be in your shoes I’m someone who at least gets it.
May God lighten your burdens
ويبعد عنك الحزن والاكتئاب ويصلح حالك وبالك إن شاء الله
You are intrinsically worth it
@sensitivePal85266 Pal, once read the title of this post : "When all hope is lost and you have nothing else to lose"
I'll like to add something at the end : "When all hope is lost you have nothing else to lose, but there's a lot more to gain"
Failing at every aspect of life doesn't mean something is wrong with you, you might be going wrong in planning, executing, giving up or somewhere else something is missing.
You probably heard this a lot of time : Nobody is born smart. I always believe that one should have their own definition of words. What is 'smart' to you? No, not what it means by people around you, but what it is to you? It might confuse you at first, but think deeper you'll get it.
Not strong? You are referring to mentally, physically or both? Same again, it has your meaning too.
Being religious comes from Inner peace, meditation and hope that everything's going to be alright if you start with baby steps to get habituated to work hard despite feeling low.
You need to make yourself feel special to you first. Without you feeling you are special, you are always stuck at 'I'm not special'. You might ask, why am I special? We often overlook small things about ourselves which actually slowly make a pile reasons why we are special. For society if might be something else, but first for you they are truly yours. Don't ignore small things only you can do, you might find similarities with others, that's ok, we are humans and we do have similarities but something always separates one another.
First learn to love yourself. Learn to accept yourself before you think of anyone loving or wanting you. It's like "You are selling a fruit, but you yourself don't like it and expect someone to come and buy it" There is always someone who loves that fruit, it might be God or someone else you don't even know..
Pal, people do hurt you. Some intentionally, some unintentionally, but ask yourself "Do you deserve to get that hurt?" If yes, identify why you deserve it, how can you try to change that in you instead of thinking of the person hurting you.
I understand how environment is toxic and you feel toxic yourself.. But if you give a deep thought to the above words, you might not feel toxic yourself. You can't change environment, but you can change how to look at it which doesn't make you feel toxic.
Someone arrives to the question "Where do I begin" either when they have many ways but couldn't choose which one due to uncertainty or they absolutely have no paths. If you have to start, first you need to start from thinking carefully about everything I said in this reply. Hope follows by itself.
I understand that you feel guilty to choose yourself, but remember "Nobody values an empty cup, though, somehow you fill other's cup. But still you remain empty."
Please try to fill your cup with gratitude, self love, self care, uniqueness, hardwork, resilience and full of hope. It sure will take a lot of time to reach till hope, but it will be totally worthy.
Hope this message finds you well 💖
