Where do people get the notion that they are superior than others?

How do they feel their needs come first even at the expanse of others?

@seashell145 @seashell145 Hey :) It's hard to say. Maybe they have a sense of entitlement or maybe they're narcissistic? It could probably be caused by a number of things? I'm sorry if you're dealing with this right now. It's not easy when people do this

@mytwistedsoul

Thank you so much. I think in my case it's the sense of entitlement. Thank you for mentioning this. <3

I don't know the exact reason, but I've dealt with someone like this before. Well-somewhat. I think there are a number of reasons why they would act like that.

They hide behind the facade because of insecurities. (Feel that in order to make themselves better they push it on other people to make up for how they feel.)

Was born into a family that had the same thought process, and were taught it.

And Etc. . .

Stay strong!

I'm so sorry you went through such situations. I love your username. You said you were taught this thought process, have you taken therapy to cope with this? What kind of therapy works for it, I guess this could be helpful to understand how this works.

Hi! I’m so sorry it’s taken me so long to answer! Been hiatus for awhile😅Now, I wasn’t exactly taught this growing up, but I did deal with my step dad being mentally abusive as well as physical. He was a big narcissist and seemed to think he was right in everything even if he wasn’t. I also had my bio dad who didn’t really want the responsibilities of us kids, and other stuff that I won’t get into. Now I dealt with a lot of it and I can’t exactly tell you what the best way to deal with it as there are different levels of it. Whether someone cares for you but not enough to take care of you, or they get abusive, but I did go to counseling, and I even considered joining Freedom Ministries to help me in my journey with God as well as dealing with some past trauma. The kind of counseling you would go to all really depends on how much you endured. My best bet would be to talk with a professional on that one. But I do hope the best, and I’m glad your trying to get the help you need!
