It's simply incredible how negligent and/or abusive parents become pitiful, needy, and desperate people when they're older and "forget" how things used to be.

Hi @eaterofwords85 ✨ May I gently suggest that you meet them with a little compassion…? I perfectly understand what you mean because I have a similar experience and it drives me crazy sometimes but I try to remember that they are very old now and that they tried as much as they possibly could…with the many limitations and traumas they grew up with - they didn’t have any access to mental health or even knew about it Anyway, sending you lots of good vibes ✨
