did horrible as someone with imposter syndrome
hi i have imposter syndrome which simply means i feel uncomfortable being perceived by people, even in a good way.. actually specially in a good way its so overwhelming to be told i did a good job when i studied or achived something i always downplay my achievements or even hide them till people find out and are confused why i hid that
i am very into fashion though, so was looking for a prom dress(obviously for prom) and the dress i bought was a little... too much
i didn't think/consider how my classmates would dress but i realized most of them will be wearing simple dresses like black or green any plain colored dress and the most dramatic one would probably just get it sparkly
i bought a dress thats a gown that looks more like engagement party or even wedding dress my mom really liked it and said i should wear it when i get engaged, thats how "too much" it is, but i saw alot of plain prom dresses i even have one, but these dresses dont do it for me, they just feel boring for my liking (they look good on my classmates /friends though)
terrified of the attention i might get whether positive or negative honestly, what do u think i should do go with my other more plain dress or just wear this one?

Honestly you have to be comfortable with your own decision and what you are wearing.
You want to have a good night and make good memories.
Show some trusted friends the dress.
Get their opinion.
And the general idea of what they are all wearing 🩷
